That looks like the perfect height, do you know what the measurement is from the top of the bed rails to the top of the rack?

If an all pro rack is what your looking for, there is a guy on this page Ryan oconnel. Hes making mine right now and only charged $400 which is quite a bit cheaper than all pro.

I have a custom design I am going to build myself but I just want to make sure the height I am planning is going to put a tent where I want it.

A lot. Check out my build page.
They still have it. I found it on the web site. http://www.rcimetalworks.com/05-17-Tacoma-Bed-Rack-Tacobedrack.htm

I actually have it hanging in the garage on a pulley system right now. Off season and all. It will get lowered on for my first camping/wheeling trip this year.

I was thinking of this or a bolt together application. Could you share any pictures of your pulley system?

Here is my pulley set up in the garage. Its nice because I can back into the garage and just lower it into place. When I am done, I back in, unbolt the rack where it attaches to the bed rail system and just pulley it right off. I have just enough room to add a RTT as well.
