snow on the east coast is intermittent. Even the high elevations of the blue ridge and the Appalachians only have cover intermittently during the season. All the east coast ski areas south of the Poconos use snow making machinery to maintain their cover. It isn't unheard of to go a season without any appreciable snow accumulations, even at the higher elevations of Virginia. You can wait until a storm is forecast and head out west, lots of gravel/dirt roads in the national forests where you can drive and areas to camp. Unfortunately it will be a weather dependent deal as you can't simply plan on going some certain date and having snow. There may be areas of the Dolly Sod wilderness area that keep more snow pack, part of the Monogohela National Forest. Others can chime in that have more experience in west Virginia winters than I do. Here's a link to some suggested cross country ski locations many of which are unplowed forest service roads which you could drive on as well. There are numbers to call to check conditions. Good luck!

Anyone still do cars and coffee?

Going to be helping @Fife put on some coils tomorrow I think. If anyone has some small jobs and wants to hang out and wrench, weather should be ok; a bit cold.

The last welder has shipped off I'm afraid. There are some local welders you can find on Craigslist. If you get the premade templates and cut it yourself, you could probably get someone to weld them on.

BAMF makes the best overpriced shit:

@StAndrew also check out jr enterprises Llc for the metal.

I called both shops today for a 4x8 sheet of 16g and jr was $20 cheaper for the same exact thing.

I got some at Lowes the other night. Had to run there to get an outlet cover and picked some up. Going to try and get this done this week; after the "practice" this should be easy. Just need to figure out how to mount the seat belt.

Ya call it a practice piece. Gotta learn somehow. I can't wait to see your seats installed. I saw two z06 seats for 150 on cl. Hmmmm

Mine is running so quiet now, those belts were real bad.

It was 150 for both. Drivers seat has a small tear on the side, they have z06 stitched into the seat though. Don't really want that.

Yeah, I'd just get some covers. Biggest reason I'd doing my seats is to sit a little lower but I don't know if that's going to work out... They are sitting about the same a stock...
