I think I *want* 17s and then I'll probably do the 34x10.5 KO2s.

I've had toyo MT's on my Touareg and AT's on my Tacoma. I couldn't imagine driving my Tacoma with the MT's. The MTP's I have both drive better and wheel better.

 

I plan on going to BFGs or MTRs when these wear out or when I step up to 35s.. The toyos are amazing but retarded heavy. I cant imagine running them in a 35. If I the yota was strictly a wheeling rig or I trailered the truck Id run them all day long. They are indestructible.

 

I have always run Toyos. I have literally never worn a pair out. I sold my 33s for 35s but if I hadn't I highly doubt I'd have had to replace them after 8 years of driving full time on them. Plus they easily look the best.

 

We used to run Toyo M55's on our work trucks LR E 10ply. Could barely get 10k out of them before they started to fall apart. After that I wasn't impressed with Toyo's, their prices didn't help either.

I've never had MTR's but my MTP's have been noticeably better than both the Toyo MT/ AT's I have owned

 

That's crazy cause running Toyos on my daily driver plus some off road on the side for more than 40k my 33s were still at like half life. Were you buying retreaded or something?

 

I agree I've had toyo Mt on 3 different trucks prior to this one. I was getting about 35k out of them. My brother got 40k out of his toyo at on his grand Cherokee. He wheeled it pretty much every weekend. For me they wore the worst on the Dodge diesel. I feel that was because they were sipped.

 

I had 35x13.50R15 Toyo MT's on my old Jeep for over 10 years worth of daily driving and trail abuse. The only negatives I can honestly say about them was that they were expensive ($300+/ each in that size) and heavy (around 80 lbs a piece, IIRC). Besides that, never had a flat, no shredding or chunking, incredible traction and after around 10 years I think I managed to get them down to 50% tread.

So... don't ever buy them

Yeah, just checking for the 10:00 group; last I heard our fearless leader was hemmin' and hawin' over some frivolous thing called a steering rack...

 

A few of us are going to get there a bit before 10 so we can kibbutz with the early crowd. My personal hope is that a beer meet gets arranged for after the run.

Worst thing happens is someone else will lead the group but in the 5 years I've known Brian he has always been a man of his word.
