My hologens did bounce which is not abnormal for a bulb with a filment. I threw in an old kensun kit and it bounced too. I barely have any bounce but I do notice it while driving down my driveway. My driveway is gravel and about a 1/4 of a mile long. I am for sure that the bounce is not from the o ring and the way it fits into the housing because it is so tight you have to use a lot of force to turn it. I thought maybe it was the construction of the bulb but the kensun kit has bounce too.

It's very slight for sure. Only the driver side is doing it. Definitely not a deal breaker for me. The xenon depot kits with the Phillips bulbs are very nice. I ran one in my 2011 Powerwagon that I used to have. It had been in there for 2 years when it traded it. I think they failed to fire one time after a decent water crossing but that was it.

What are people running in the high beams that have installed HID in the lows? Super happy with my lows, still running the stock high beams, however would like something more uniform in color temp, not sure if I really want to run HID in the highs as I'll only use them very occasionally.

I'm running the factory high beams. With the hid lights and when I install my rigid industries dually fogs, I will barely use the high beams personally.

LED's would be your best option. HID's are ineffective as high beams just because of the warm up, plus flashing HID's will severely limit the bulb's life.

I plan to run the Morimoto 2-stroke LED in the high beams.

    None as of yet.
The halogens that I have on my 17 do not bounce and if they do its not enough to notice. I wonder if it is a case by case basis with some of the TRS bouncing and some are not. Kinda the luck of the draw.

happy to report my Xenon Depot with 4300k Phillips bulbs do not bounce at all. Output is very very good, as expected from Phillips. the big turn upwards on the passenger side is due to the truck not being on level ground. Picture taken about 75-90ft away from the wall

I don't see why not as long as they're the same connectors. Why not just get a whole kit from the same place?

So just to confirm, you ordered the entire kit and not the bulbs alone? My bounce had gotten worse and I'm ready to toss this TRS kit in the trash.

I just looked at the xenon depot kit and it looks like a different bulb base. It also does not appear to be an h11b bulb.

Yes, entire kit. So far so good there was less movement (by hand) on the hid's than there was on the stock halogens.

    I just got the h11. I don't notice a shadow from the return post\

If you guys can hold off, I should be heading out on some trails on Sunday, to really show if there's bouncing at all.

Just installed these. I'm having the bounce issues as well. I replaced the rubber pieces with the ones included too. You can really tell when the light reflects off road signs. This is from a 35w kit with 5500k bulbs. Any other fix for this?

XenonDepot has an H11B Hid kit on their website. Is this the same base being mentioned or you'll looking at the H11 kit? Thinking of going this route with either the 4300k Philips or the 5000k.

Were you able to turn your bulbs completely in the light housing? Mine were impossible to rotate so I trimmed the rubber gaskets a small bit at a time until I was able to get the lights seated properly and turned all the way to lock into the headlight housing.
