Anything higher than 30 in back results in 0.5"-1" of tread not really contacting the road surface.

Suspension, racks, tune, bed, lights. See build thread.
I just raised my MAXX's (285's E load) to 40 after being around 35. Definitely feel the road more, if mpg doesn't go up over 1 mpg then Im going back to 35 psi.

When I first had them installed the dealer had them at like 40 (every tire was different actually - pretty shocking). I forget the exact number. The new "nubs" on the tires were only worn off in the center of the tread. The outside of the tread the nubs weren't worn off after a couple hundred miles! So they were crowning due to over inflation. I haven't run them that high since.

I haven't checked them since November (I know, sad eh?). I'm thinking they probably need topped off. Going snow wheeling tomorrow so I'm sure I'll drop them to 18psi and will have to re-inflate when I'm done.

    35. door says 30. It rides so much nicer at 30, feels like a rock at 35. But, the tires flatten out a bit at 30.

Totally off topic, but I was driving down Culp's hill in gettysburg last night. It was dark and a little foggy. Creepy as hell on that old battle field late at night, but I love going out there and its so quiet at night. Rounding the corner down the hill by Spangler's spring (if anyone is familiar with Gettysburg) tire warning goes off, and both front tires are down to 16 passenger, 17 driver. WTF. Filled up at a sheetz down the road. Been back in philly and it hasn't leaked all day/night. So frigging weird.

Anyway, 35 psi on OEM wrangler kevlars because it gets flat when parked at 30. Dealer fills it up to 38. Not sure why. I drop it down to 35. Seems it's the lowest I can go before it starts to flatten out.

I have stock Toyo Open Country's, and run 35 during Spring and Summer, 30 during Fall (wet leaves) and Winter. I've been very happy at both levels with my TRD Sport, loaded and unloaded.

I've been to Gettysburg many of times. Weird stuff happens out there. Back in the old days, I was camping there with the Boy Scouts. I woke up in the middle of the night(tent camping), had to go to the bathroom. I crawl out of the tent, start heading to the port a potty. What do I see? I bunch of confederate soldiers around our camp fire, with dogs. I thought they were re-enactors. I go back to sleep, next morning I ask our scout master about it and he said he put the fire out before he went to bed around midnight.
After hearing my story, and talking with the owner of the campground, it was confirmed that the campground was a confederate hospital camp during the battle of Gettysburg. Owner went on to say that the Confederates were known to bring dogs along with them as companions and to carry equipment. He even said that it wasn't the first time he's heard almost that same exact scenario.
I haven't been back to there since.

2016 Limited, had service done past weekend and they set all tires to 40psi. Weathers between 60 and 75 right now. Getting great gas mileage though.
