Do you only have 2 inches of lift?

Yeah about 2.25 inches up front. 1.5 in the rear. About 1/2-3/4 inch of rake

Most of these tires (the sizes we use) are E rated. How can that equate to a good ride with such little side wall flex, if any at all?

I don't think it's that noticeable. I run mine a 33psi and I don't regret going with the E rated version. having a decent suspension set up helps too

Did you play around with valving any? I would imagine good helping of bleed or a super light fluter stack with a heavy cover shim

In my experience, it doesn't. Other folks around the site seem to feel as though they get good rides from heavy sidewalls. Some go so far to claim their E rated tires give them the best quality ride they have had. To each their own I suppose. Perhaps they have smoother roads where they are. My experience has been the opposite.

Are any of you rubbing the fender flare on 265/70/17s with these tires? I wrecked my truck and haven't seen it for a month and a half. I got new wheels and tires as part of the repair. The wheels are level 8 mk6 with 0 offset. The body shop is telling me the tires are rubbing where the yellow tape is in these pics. I may have misunderstood but I thought when people have to trim it's the fender liner not the actual flare. I want to make sure that's normal and not a sign that something isn't assembled right from the accident repair. The truck is stock suspension wise....

the 0 Offset gives it a 4.5inch back space which pushes the wheel out. So when you turn it will contact the fender flare. I installed 1inch spacers with my factory Sport Rims. So I get the same rub and location as you have there. I only get it in reverse though so I dont worry about it. I know it will go away with the future lift.

You can trim the flare if you would like, another thought is to verify the alignment is ok to.

Thanks. I knew the wheels would stick out a little more. They aligned it after the repair. I don't mind them cutting it I just wanted to make sure it wasn't unheard of before I gave them the OK.

Yup I do with my Stealth 6's. I took a razor knife and trimmed the flare. It still rubs the liner in reverse. Hopefully after the lift i can put back on the mud guards.

FYI, just received my Falken Tire $100 Visa yesterday. I sent it out near the end of October, so roughly 12 weeks until delivery. Sure, I would've like it sooner but never complain about free money!

I'm about to buy another set of these. They are awesome. I can't decide 285/70 or 285/75/17.

Another set? May I ask what you had (what size and 4 or 5 tires rotated in the set) and how many miles did you get out of them.

265/70/17. I have only put about 4K on them. I just want bigger ones. They have been great in snow and off road. They still look new.
