What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

This one was originally owned by a guy who worked in concrete, and then went through a teenage boys life, so needless to say it was a little dirty. Pulled everything out to give it a deep clean. Everythings back to blue now, other than the wheel of course lol

 

Yeah that's what I need to look up. I'm bummed because this Tundra barely ran into something, not even sure why it ended up in the yard, so everything was nice and straight.

 

I just realized I have no idea what the color of my truck is... in the sun it is a deep green in pictures it's some weird bluish

Yeah I know that's what they call it but it is seriously strange paint, I mean it changes color depending on if a camera takes a pic of it and lighting conditions, very strange for stock truck paint. Not all cameras see it as bluish either...

My original paint paint changed color in the sun. Permanently...

Paint always changes with light unless its a matte finish usually.

I still think the Cool Metallic Silver(Pewter Peal code 196) is the best...but im partial.

Latter green is Imperial Jade Green.

Your paint code should be 754 know as Paradise Blue Metallic i think.

 

I've noticed Toyota red tends to washout, all the 80s trucks I see had that happen.

That is a nice color too! I'm not to married to my paint, a lot of it tends to come off on various things.... I think when mine is finally too ugly to bear I'll roll it into the garage and use an HVLP to paint it Quicksand.

 

Mine is the same as Frank's paint, which should be Evergreen Pearl, so it is supposed to be green, but I was wondering what you called it... that is when it can be seen lol

Frank is the evergreen too. I guess looking at your photo yours is that too. Seem lighter when i first glanced at it

 

He had two tacomas that where purple..different kinds of purple.

My red has stayed practically identical. Ill post some pics from ~2002 and current if i can find them quick. its the sunfire red pearl

but i do know several people who have the other red that have washed out horrible
