Did anyone just buy the sub and sound processor using the stock speakers? Just wondering how it sounds with stock speakers.

Anyone in the D.C. Metro area with this system that I can come and listen to?

If you hold the oemaudio+ speaker in one hand and the stock speaker in the other you will have a smile ear to ear. It literally weighs 5x as much.

Just my opinion from a guy that did a whole GEN 2 4DR PreRunner... in and outer doors...RAAMAT and Ensolite.

There is a place of diminishing returns that you can reach real quick. There are plenty of testimonies here that will vouch for this.

I did my doors also but I just did below the the reinforcement arm. I'm all in for that. It's simple and and it does help.

    1) If you run it up to the top of the door panel and you didn't apply it well and it gets hot... You will hate it. 2) Please read about dampening... You will get a lot for your dollar, a lot less skinned knuckles if you just do the bottom of the door. Unless if you are going full on custom AND you are some sort of audiophile AND you know how to tune it AND/OR car audio is a hobby of yours... Spend your money and time in other areas.

That system will knock your socks off without much effort... with or without dampening.... enjoy it.

I used 1 2xdoor kit and one 4sq ft roll to do all 4 doors and the rear wall. I just finished. I agree and read a lot about it b4 I did it. I only did around the speaker and inside the door skin, as well as in between the ribs in the rear. It sounded great without it, but the bass and mids are even better with it. I don't want to get out of my truck now....lol

Does anyone have this audio system in San Antonio area? I would like to hear it.

I installed a Pioneer Stereo with Apple Car Play and backup camera. Will this system work with my Pioneer?

I've had mine for over 6 months and I love it! I was looking for a system that would sound good, install easily, and allow me to continue using some of the storage behind the rear seats. As many have said, if you want loud booming bass, this is not the system for you. But if you want a loud system, with plenty of tight bass that can vibrate the rearview mirror and still use the storage behind the back seat, then this system will fill that need.
As far as good songs to showcase it's abilities, there's a lot:
Die Antwoodt - Banana Brain or Baby's on Fire
    Marilyn Manson - Tainted Love
    BabyMetal - Karate
    2NE1 - I Am the Best
    Hyuna - Roll Deep
    Beethoven - Sonata #8 or Symphony #9
    Hurt - Ten Ton Brick
Rage Against the Machine - Bombtrack

How does it sound if you favor the front? I like having the Soundstage where it should be. Will still use rears when I have passengers.
    Thanks

I'm wanting install this system, but I do not want to go through all of the hassle of adding sound deadening... will this system cause unwanted rattles from the added bass? I had a sub in my old vehicle and after a few months, there were several rattles that weren't there before the sub was added

They designed it for the cab so as long as you make sure to re-install the clips, you shouldn't have new rattles. I installed without sound deadening, but went back and put some in. Made a huge difference with the door speakers so I would recommend at least a little behind the 6x9s. Not mandatory, but it helps with sound loss on the thin inner sheet metal.

Can’t seem to find anyone here in my area with this setup. I found a place called ********* and planning to visit their shop later today. The guy I spoke to after setting up an appointment told me I can listen to 3 different tacomas that they have at their shop. Hoping I can find an OEM system in SA that I can listen to also.

Stopped by custom sounds few days back and liked some of the speakers they had, but really want to hear it in the truck.

    Thank you for the feedback.

Oh yea, does anyone know if it will work with my Pioneer Stereo? I purchased this stereo, https://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-SPH-...=1486046256&sr=8-1&keywords=pioneer+sph-da120

    and this backup camera: https://www.amazon.com/TOYOTA-2005-...86046285&sr=8-1&keywords=tacoma+backup+camera

The new stereo made a difference but not as much as I hoped.

You will have better luck with taco tunes being local as far as integrating that head unit with a system. You will be perfectly fine going with the TT setup - I've heard great things about their stuff.

Appreciate the info. I was just googling them for more information. Looks like they have thousands and thousands of Tacoma customers. I found them looking for steering wheel control interfaces. I lost my steering wheel controls when I installed my new stereo.

I would still like to get a comparison before I spend money. I want to be sure I am getting my best solution for my money. 1 week each month I spend quite a few hours driving and hate the stock speakers.

Plus I just had 4Wheel Parts install new all terrain tires and they are nosier than stock so I want to be able to drown those out.

There is an option for the OEM+ system for aftermarket head units. It was in the drop down options when I ordered mine. Don't hesitate to give Daniel a call. He'll answer any questions you might have. Super chill guy.

Thank you. I will call them later today to see if they have a local customer that will demonstrate the system.
