Here is the last list that I saw, what else do we need to plan for? Are we doing meals and beer individually? Does everyone have recovery gear? Not sure how much is necessary?

Also for the guys in Clovis, want to meet in town at say Walmart in the morning and convoy up there?

I have a winch and tow rope, but hopefully we wont need it!
As for Saturday evening dinner we could grill some burgers or something, what are you all's thoughts?
I have a portable gas grill I can bring. Plus I'm bringing some fire wood.

Alright, I have the same as well. I am down for grilling burgers and hot dogs, I have a camp stove I will bring as well. The fire wood is definitely a good idea! Its probably going to be cold... I am thinking I should probably buy some gas cans not sure how close the nearest gas station is.

I vote this, since my boy and I are gluten-free vegans. ;) As long as everybody is self-sufficient plus a little bit to share we should be more than good. I'll probably bring a small gas grill as well as some firewood.

I'm winch-equipped and also have multiple snatch blocks, tow straps/tree protectors, shovel/axe, hi-lift, jerry cans, etc. About the only thing I'm not packing is a set of Maxtrax.

Works for me....If we link up 1:45 prior to whenever the rest of the group wants to rally in Logan we should be GTG.

As long as you have some gear for yourself the group will take care of itself by everyone pitching in. As a group we will be well equipped. If you have extra parts you can bring them if you want. It is always good to have an extra CV axle with you on any trip.

I think as long as everyone brings with them what they need to eat it should be okay.

For those of you that want to forgo bringing your own stove, I will have my trailer with a built in grill that you can cook on if you want to, just spot me a buck or two to offset the cost of me filling my propane tank. And everyone should probably pitch in a bit firewood if the plan is to have a bonfire. We will be bringing food for ourselves and a little bit of extra if need be. But mainly easy stuff for the kids that cooks fast and will fill them up. Probably going to do some chicken and veggies on our side.

Hey man, there are no requirements to join us, just let us know if you can make it or not. We are headed to Mills Canyon this weekend, it can't hurt to have more people come out.

Just stumbled accross this. I used to camp there until the Texans found it. Two things 1 mosquitoes are horrible during the day. Rattlesnakes are everywhere. Old building that used to be living quarters until a flood washed the area like the Dixon apple farm. Lots of room to camp
Would appreciate some pictures. Heard it was upgraded. To the North across the river there is a side canyon to explore. Have fun everybody!!

Oh by the way road is steep and narrow.

Perfect. Well I'm always up for doing day trips on the weekends if I've got enough notice. Feel free to hit me up on here and we can get Rollin. Thanks for the invite for this weekend as well!

Between @cglasco w/ the Amarillo crew and @Whitecloud with the ABQ crew, what time do y'all propose the mass group meet up in Logan on Saturday morning? Myself and the Clovis folks ( @DJ KRAZY K and others) is the closest and can backplan our departure time appropriately to link up with y'all.

Sorry missed that about meeting in Logan. I think meeting there around 10 or so? I don't know how long it would take to get to the campground. But that sounds good to me.

Do we know how many we are going to have coming with?

I was just referencing one of the earlier posts - below - that had suggested a tentative route. I haven't done this run before so I plan on following folks who've got experience on the route.

1000L at the restaurant/gas station would super-easy for the Clovis folks - no issues there. Can do a meet-and-greet then top off on gas/supplies and press.

Also, although it doesn't sound like anyone's got a full GPS breadcrumb of the entire route, I'd still be interested in a couple of waypoints that show the general track we're going to take from someone that's done it before. I've driven all around on the main roads (and flown all over the place up there), and totally know where the campsite is, but can't quite tell from Google Maps exactly what the Trigg/Mosquero Rd. options are for getting there off of the pavement.

BTW - in addition to all my wheelin' gear I'll also have my SLR and Phantom 4 with me, if anybody wants hero/action stills or video from on the track or overhead.

I'd love to play around with the Phantom 4!! Been looking at one and want to see one in action. As far as waypoints, I don't know. It seems like these folks have some good guide info...http://www.backpacker.com/trips/new-mexico/splendor-in-new-mexico-s-mills-canyon/2/
