I'm going in this Friday for my first care appointment. I'll be addressing some issues I've noticed like lurching when backing up, poor/sluggish shifting and popping drivers seat. Anything else you guys would add to the list that I may not be noticing?

The most challenging part is getting them to replicate the issue. I'd schedule to take a test drive with the tech to get them to see what you are observing otherwise they'll just kick the tires and say it's normal. Or that they couldn't replicate the problems. Then you're on your own again

Entune update, alignment, ECU/TCU Update (rev 1), check for updated leaf springs w/ Shim for driveline vibrations, document concerns whether reproduced or not (so you can reference them later as an issue identified early for warranty purposes)

This is a great idea for a thread. I was wondering the same thing.

Yes, document stuff that doesn't exist so when you have a real problem they will look at you like you have three heads.

I definitely want them to check tranny fluid level, perform Rev 1 update and explain the lurching issue. Perhaps the Rev 1 will fix that.

I would give them a heads up before hand if you want them to check your trans fluid. I'm not sure of procedures but adding that to a Free care appointment at the last minute might be a problem and they may not do it right. The same applies to TSB's. Just call ahead with what you want done so time is allotted.

Just don't go making up things so they are documented "in case" something happens. You have 3 years/36,000 miles to find any problems. Better to at least attempt a good honest relationship with the service manager.

I didn't say doesn't exist, I said whether reproduced or not. At the 5k service I made sure to document the transmission clunk when not fully up to temp. I made sure they knew it wouldn't be reproducable at that visit as the truck was warm and wasn't going to cool down in time for them to reproduce. Doing this ensures that when an inevitable rev 2 is made for the transmission to resolve the clunking, I can point back to prior noted complaints so there is no question as to updating the vehicle.

definitely a heads up is needed, they have you scheduled for a 10 minute walk around the rest of the time your truck will be sitting. the things listed here are done by different tec's and if you spring it on them when you check in they may not even be able to do it that day.

I recommend looking for the TSB's and use the same language. At 10k I was aware of the trans TSB, but just said shifting was poor and I wanted the software update. When I picked up the truck they said there was no update. I was traveling so I didn't bother arguing since it wasn't my local dealer. At 15K I specifically said that it was hanging in a lower gear when in cruise control, she looked it up and recommended the TSB, because that was a specific symptom. Although I had printed it out and was ready to push if needed.

I've informed them of this so hopefully they're prepared.

I just had mine done last weekend too. Had em change the oil and filter, manually check trans fluid, trans tsb update, control arm plugs update and NO wash. They took care of me, and all is well! Don't be afraid to ask for them to check anything out that bothers you. I wouldn't go looking for problems that don't exist though.
