2017 trd pro

He can I run 285 75 16's on the new Trd Pro. Will the factory lift alow for that size tire?

 

"hey" and yes with some minor trimming it can be done as reported by another Pro owner.

 

I'm happy with the stance on the 265's.
The factory tires have such poor traction through anything spongy. It's crazy, I wish they stuck with the bfg's on the project series

They will rub. I promise you. I do 10 lifts a month. Either need to get a cab mount chop or just run a 285/70/16. You won't be able to tell a difference

 

This has a normal bilstein 5100 lift and it's running a 285/70/17 no rubbing.

Yep 285's work as long as they are 70 not a 75

 

to clarify 285 75 r16's is same size tire as 285 70 r17's 285 70 r16's will be smaller.

 

Just run 265/75/16. You get around an inch worth of added height and you don't have to worry about rubbing.

Pro stock suspension I don't think is as high as the 5100s on a Sport or OR... I'm set to Zero on mine its higher than a Pro.

 

We lifted it for a customer of ours. He is super stoked. It's TRD off-road 4x4 with prem and tech and tonneau cover. With lift, rims and tires he paid 41k for it.

 

NIce glad your customer is happy.... price not too bad, up around the price for a stock Pro but I like that one. Looks a lot like mine!

 

Exact same setup looking to do on my 4X Sport, care to share detailed specs on lift.

* front 5100 setting/net lift height front
* coil over specs
*any other mods done to the rear other than 5100s
*wheel and tire brand

The picture doesn't show but it has a California lean. Front 5100's set to the highest settings. And 5100's in rear no block. Wheel set up is a 17" method standard wrapped in a toyo open country RT 285/70/17. No other mods to the truck. He has a pro grill on it now. Just didn't have it in stock when he took delivery

 

285/75/16 and 285/70/17 are the same size.

Contrary to what you say, either of those will fit on a pro with minor trimming. Per the thread you quoted.

Now on a non pro. Not a chance.

Also good luck finding a 285/70/16. I think there is only one tire made in that size (nitto).
