Hi Guys. I'm about to put a new set of tires on the truck and of course this is the perfect time to go a little bigger. I'm planning to buy Cooper Discovery AT/3's in 265/75/16. How much lift will I need? I've already bought Bilstein 5100's for the front and 4600's for the rear (which I may return for 5100's in the rear). The truck is 100% stock.

I want to keep the truck as low as possible and still fit those tires.
    -Thanks

    Should fit without lift required

Op, 265/75/16 will clear with 5100'S up front . 5100's in the rear will give it a smooth ride in the back. I ran 265/75 on my truck for 4 yrs , with minimal amount rubbing in the frt at full lock going thew dipps. you could run the 5100s in the middle snap ring grove to give a little lift so you won't have any rubbing problem . just my take on things being that I had a rubbing problem that drive me nuts. hope this helps.

I ran 265's with no lift on stock alloys for years, no rubbing.

Both actually, no rubbing with either size. 265/70/16 came stock, after that I put on the 265/75/16's and now with a lift I have 285/75/16's.

Cool, what I've seen from others here as well. On the 33's, after the lift, just required modding the pinch weld to not rub?

I have OME 881 coils and Bilstien 5100's set at "0". About 2.5" of lift.

So far I haven't done a thing. It rubs a little on the mudflap by the pinch weld on both sides and the passenger side frame just touches ever so lightly at full lock.

Cool, man. Thanks for the input. I like that you're running your Billies on the 0. Sounds like the route I'll go when the time comes.

Max setting on the 5100s up front, or OME 881s and dakars in the back or 2" block

I think whether 265/75/16's rub or not depends a lot on the tire you chose (size probably varies at least 1/2" in diameter) and how worn the factory suspension is. It's good to hear the 265/75/16s fit stock. I think I'll run the 5100's on 1" of lift as my truck sits back high.

That "back high" is called rake. Rake is in place for towing so you dont sit front end high when weight is on the back. It makes towing safer. Most people that modify suspensions make the truck level and towing is still fine. Just not "as" safe.

Excellent. I've found that 265/75s are often cheaper than 265/70's. Probably because it's a more common size. Thanks for the feedback.

Not enough to have a build thread.
at full compression lock left, I had rubbing with my factory tires so I would run a small lift. maybe just a 1 inch level kit or something like that. the 5100s are probably your best bet.

or get new wheels with less backspacing

I'm going to run my 5100's at 1" lift with stock springs.

Will you feel a performance difference in acceleration going from 265/70/16 to 265/75/16's?
