Just gave my truck a tune up new plugs, wires, fuel filter, pcv, and cleaned my K and N cold air intake. I sprayed throttle bottle cleaner into the intake without the truck running, and now the truck bogs down, it's hard to start, and tonight it just died on me. When my RPM's increase my temperature guage will read hot and goes back down when RPM's decrease. It left me stranded today, will not start and a friend had to tow me home. Anyone have any ideas or heard of such a thing? I would greatly appreciate your input.

    Thanks

Just so we're clear ... Is the temp gauge consistently tracking with the tach in both directions (rpm's up / temp up; rpm's down / temp down)?

Other than actual overheating, I can't think of anything non-electrical that would explain this.

I'd suggest checking the tach and water temp sensor wiring / connections. Maybe you accidentally loosened / disconnected / shorted one of them and now you're getting some sort of cross-interaction between them at the cluster.

I'm having an even harder time coming up with a single cause that would explain both the instrumentation weirdness and the bad engine behavior together. I'm guessing there are two different faults involved.

This is Moteef! Maybe you should check out dem black ass ground wires that you took off when your lazy white ass replaced dem plugs. If dat don't fix it, grab some watermelon and some Olde E.

It's fixed. Ground off the water temp sensor wiring / connections was loose.

Glad it turned out to be a straightforward electrical fix ...
