These guys do awesome Cerakote and Hydro dip work. His wife does all the stencil masks for multi-color and/or intricate design work. She works in the mechanical test laboratory in our Research and Technology Dept.

I've read that even within the same color, there can be up to 3 different shades. I don't think they paint the grill surround with the truck, so they just grab what's in the parts bin. So let's say your truck is shade A and the grill is shade C, you'll need to find a grill in shade A. There's also a possibility that all grills are Shade C since they're most likely painted in a more controlled environment, then you're screwed.

    This is a good read

Always do a Carfax on a new car/truck when buying! Brought a
New Jeep Cherokee & found out it was wrecked at the dealership! How did I find out? When I traded it in on a new Toyota Camry for wife.

    Great.

Couldn't take a sun photo due to rain all week.

I do have an appt for tomorrow at the dealer.

I have been having trouble getting the touch up paint from the dealer to match my quicksand color. I have now been through 3 bottle of it and they all seem to not even come close. The 3rd bottle he ordered straight from toyota to make sure the other ones were not old or a bad batch. Gave them my Vin # and paint code to make sure it was right and shook the bottle over a minute. Mines the same way. It appears to be worse under fluorescent lighting compared to normal sunlight.

Exactly, the light in my garage definitely highlights this.

Well, its at the dealer now. Lets see what happens.

Sorry. Went out of town and forgot.

They said they didn't see anything wrong. Then I noticed the bumper was the same.

Just said screw it. I got anger issues and I tend to over react a lot and decided to just let it go.
