    Hi folks! Not sure if this goes in Northern CA thread but oh well. Saw this in San Francisco area a couple of weekends ago. Sweet truck! I was pretty hammered when I saw it (like I forgot I even took this photo....whoops), so I know nothing about other than what the photo shows.

    I plan on shipping my Icon 2.5 Ext travel coilovers to @Downsouth Motorsports to have them revalved. I bought them straight from a vendor w/ a generic valving ratio and am very unhappy w/ the outcome. My question is, who is the cheapest and best shipper to use? Have any of you shipped your CO's back to have them revalved?

    In state FedEx or USPS are typically cheapest. Although I really don't like usps anymore. Where in NorCal are you? I remember some guys using a shop in Sac and great reviews. Should be able to handle a revalve no problem.

    @LTDSC you used them right?

    I think it was Rock and Road Performance in Roseville. I've heard a couple have had good experiences there.

    That being said, i shipped mine to DSM to rebuild and i think it was about $90 round trip. Can't remember for sure

    I used Rock and Road also, very happy with them. Believe they moved into a new shop in Sac.

    I live 2 1/2 hrs N. of Sacramento. I don't really want to ship them somewhere if I don't have to. But up here in Redding,CA there aren't any shops that I know of that do that kind of work. The 4 wheel drive shops suck up here too. They have 18 year kids straight out of high school putting lifts on trucks etc. That's why I do my own work at my college auto shop. Except for shock re valving.

    Soon as I clean the garage out enough to park the truck in I'll be taking mine there. Got a leaky bypass in the back and I need a hair more valving up front. Definitely saw a good change in Sam's truck after he got his valving swapped up a bit

    DSM wants $65 labor per shock plus cost of shims. Which they said are around $45 per shock. Then the cost of shipping. Or I try that shop you guys are talking about in Sacramento and see what they charge. Either way it sounds like I'm gonna have to ship them. Or I can always go on a road trip. I've already driven down to Carmichael to have some work done at Califabrication. Before he got very popular.

    More shit then I ever planned on doing
    I wanna do mine soon also. Not sure if the valving would be different but ever since I swapped from 600 springs to 700 I feels like my rebound is a little too fast.

    If your shocks are fairly new, they can just change the valving without the cost of a full rebuild (I think). Pricing is reasonable and customer service is commendable. Greg is a great guy to work with.
