I just got done installing my new retrofits and I done lost all the bolts and nuts that attach the headlights to the body :(

Can anyone tell me what thread sizes the bolts were and what size the nuts are? I'm gonna run to walmart and buy some new ones.

    They're the 98-00 style square-ish headlights.

Lowes closes in 1 hour so I desperately need these bolt sizes and threads. Help me out. I don't think Walmart will have what I need

EDIT: To my surprise the air intake nuts and bolts fit perfectly. I replaced my stock air intake so I had the oem nuts and bolts for it laying around. I managed to run to Lowes using the air intake ones as a template. I found the bag of bolts I lost a couple of blocks away from my house the next morning, lol.

Good idea for a 'get out of a jam' situation.

I always suprise myself with what zip ties and tape can fix...this past summer was offshore 30 miles fishing and a fuel line to our port engine got a huge leak in it. A roll of duct tape got us back in safe and on time

For sure, those are two of the things that are always in any of my vehicles. I seem to use the zip ties a bit as well. I started with the cheap crap ones and after those wouldn't last I looked into the nicer industrial ties. Big difference. They're on my permanent carry with me list.

How can you tell from the packaging which are the cheap crap ones and which are the nicer industrial ties? My supply of industrial ties (which are black, BTW, is slowly running out. I picked them up from the floor of the assembly line where I worked (35 years ago) and have been using them on my vehicles ever since. (The white ones that I picked up from the floor at the same time only lasted about a year underneath the hood and then they became brittle, but they do okay underneath the dashboard.)

I ended up digging through my old Tacoma parts and found my stock air intake (I put on a K&N one) and to my surprise a couple of the bolts and nuts fit perfectly. I found out Lowes was open till 9 so I managed to pick up replacement bolts and nuts using the air intake ones as a template.

You'll never guess what I found laying in the middle of the road a couple blocks away from my house in the morning when I was leaving. I left the bag of bolts on top of my Benz and when I went to get some In-n-Out I forgot I left it on the roof.

It took me a while to realize what I was looking at in the street, I remembered I left them in a ziplock bag and I braked hard, reversed for two blocks, and picked it up. You should have seen the face of the guy in the car parked on the street when he saw me do that lol.
