As I fiddled with the factory loom to unravel the fog lamp it but me: preloom the wires in the truck bed, leave the spools connected and pull it all into place. Made perfect sense all of a sudden.

Now I wanna redo all my other wire. Lol

What amber pod is that?

 

@CaliRaisedLed makes a 2x3 amber. It's technically "spot" config.

 

Has it gotten moisture in it at all? Bright?

Thinking about picking up two for driving fogs

 

I wouldn't recommend the beam for a fog lamp. It's a bit too bright and too pointed for that.

I havent had mine long now. Not even in the rain. There's a lot of guys here who can chime in on longevity? I used marine butt connectors with built in heat shrink to connect mine.

 

I have 4 cali raised pods and 1 32" lightbar had for a few years now no problems no moisture build up at all..
It's definitely no rigid or baja designs but they work well for the price and Jake is awesome he will hook ya up!

 

I just put the same light on my rear bed rail, through all the rain we just had and my amateur level of wiring skills it has yet to have any problems. Very bright as well! But as @digitaLbraVo mentioned, it is a spot beam pattern, you'd be more well suited with a different light with a fog pattern.

 

If you going to use them for fogs you should get the ambers. I have 18W clear lens pods on my fogs and can't use them on the street with oncoming traffic, there too bright and i get high beams flashed at me everytime i do. They work really good on back roads...better then my headlights but they are spots so they don't light up the sides like the OE fog lights did.

 

They're definitely pricy but I have some squadron sport LEDs from Baja Designs in the "wide cornering" beam. Perfect fog lights. You can even change the lens out later if you want to repurpose it.

 

I'm going to have to check these out...good lookin out!

Yea definitely amber, I quoted him cause he posted a pic of the Cali raised amber pod. You can get the amber covers for the clear lenses also..

Baja designs wide cornering are great and that's actually what got me hooked on trying to find some amber driving lights... super nice on dark roads etc. illuminates everything

 

Probably gonna drop some money and get them Baja Designs amber fogs to go with my All Pro Baja bumper when the time comes
