On my wifes Honda Odyssey I can open all windows and the moonroof by double clicking the unlock button and then holding it. I could do the same on my old VW but it had to be turned on in the computer. Anyway of doing this on the Tacoma?

Unfortunately not. My 4Runner and my lx570 will open everything just by holding the unlock button down. I asked the dealer but they said the only way is to add an aftermarket alarm.

My wife's 15 year old VW can close all windows and the sunroof from outside, if you forget to do it before you leave the vehicle. Very useful.

That's one thing I liked about my Bmw, I've coded that feature. Loved the ability for unlimited coding potential.

I've noticed Toyota likes to slack on the Tacoma. I don't know if it's because they don't have to add features to sell them or if they are anticipating you modding it. They like to leave out some pretty "standard" features like auto on headlights and this to name a few.

I asked the dealer to turn this feature on as someone on the forum said this was an option with techstream. The dealer said it was not a feature on the tacoma, but maybe something available as a future ecu update.
