What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Very rough start on my front bumper. I'm using 2x1 rectangle that is 3mm thick which is the same size as my bed cage which is round 1.75 dom tube. There will be a lot more bracing. I'm also going to plate a good amount of it for added strength as I know the rectangular tube is not as strong as the round. Seems everyone has round so wanted to do something different. What do you guys think? Am I just wasting my time or do you think with enough plate and bracing I can create a unique, strong, cool bumper?

 

I've been waiting for the moment a long time

 

Finally got time on changing out my transmission pan fluid. But I wanna play it safe before I do a tranny flush and see if the picture below shows to much metallic shavings that should worry me. The transmission fluid isn't burnt.

 

I just ordered the same one... so I will let you know in a couple days, I have been looking for the flasher is it under the left knee plate

 

This is what we call in the hood, poverty spec mods

1) trim restorer on flares. Looks better but will need paint

2) center cap removal to five wheel more pizzaz before being powder coated white

Ghetto fabulous . 15 year olds kids do this.

 

Let my paint dry over night and installed my colormatched grill. Damn, makes it a night and day difference! Next is the corner lights and bumper then black out handles and rear bumper

I don't really like those wheels, ever since they first appeared on Tundras I thought they weren't so great looking but without the center caps I think it looks like you parked in the wrong neighborhood. I think the steelies you're after will look badass though, and even the early six spoke alloys Tacos came with would look good.

 

i think the best word to describe this truck would be "generic"

yes wtf. Literally every house on my street has a truck or 2 in the driveway.

 

I used to live in a place like that... Never going back

 

fun fact. Ive never in my life seen an actual luxury car. A mustang is as good as it gets here. Or roads are so bad a truck is almost required in some areas.
