The other day I decided to drift a turn on the cement in my 1995 Toyota Tacoma (I realize that's kind of duchey) but when I revved it than let off the clutch it kind of made a clunking sound from under me or maybe toward the back end. Any thoughts?

Slop in the drivetrain? Try greasing the splines on the driveshaft.

Check the ujoints, they may need to be replaced if they have any play. Clicking when braking or accelerating could easily be a worn ujoint

transmission mount and both engine mounts . Grab a pry bar and pry at the rubber mounts to see if they are broken

2.5 lift, the usual that goes with it. Work in progress.
Check your u's, also check the bearing carrier.

I have a squeaking sound when I apply throttle or let off the throttle. I replaced the carrier support bearing and the squeak went away for about 3 weeks then came back but not as often. Before the squeak would happen anytime I parked for 1-3 hours. Now I have to park overnight for it to squeak again. Then it doesn't do it at all for the rest of the day. No matter how long I park for, unless it's a really long period of time. I greased all my zerk fittings. But is it possible to still have a bad u joint? I do have 252,000 miles on my Tacoma. How do you check the U joints? My carrier bearing was bad. I could move it quite a bit and it squeaked when I did. But it's fine now and doesn't squeak at all.

Bad U joints? How many sets are on an 04 Tacoma? I'm not worried about transfer case & forward. Just front of carrier bearing & back. I'm pretty sure when I was under there. There were some before & after the carrier support bearing. Seems like w/ that many miles it might be time. I just don't understand why nothing squeaked for 3 weeks then randomly started squeaking again.
