Searching yielded very little results in the 3rd gen forum for specific configurations and such. Icon owners have their own thread, so why not a King thread? I plan on going Kings down the road and this thread can be used specifically for 3rd gen King discussions.

Here's what I have so far for part numbers, specs, etc. Some is straight from their site
    http://www.kingshocks.com/products/oem/toyota-oem/

    Fronts (2.5" body):
Part Number, Application, Type, BLANK, weight, compressed length, extended length
    upload_2017-1-30_20-8-47.jpg
    - King OEM Performance Series Front Coilovers #25001-119
    - King OEM Performance Series Front Coilovers with compression adjusters #25001-119A ($300 upgrade)
    - King OEM Performance Series Front Coilovers with compression adjusters #25001-119A-EXT (Extended travel; I believe .5" more travel )

I called King and they said the stock spring is 14" 600lb/in (some posts say 650, but I think I believe the King sales guy)
If you want to upgrade to the 700lb/in spring, the part number is #SPR3-14-700. Recommended for heavier front ends (armor, winch, etc). Or if you prefer a stiffer ride.

    Rears (2.5" body):
Part Number, Application, Type, BLANK, weight, compressed length, extended length
    upload_2017-1-30_20-10-27.jpg
    - King OEM Performance Series Rear Shocks #25001-121
    - King OEM Performance Series Rear Shocks with compression adjusters #25001-121A ($300 upgrade)
    - King OEM Performance Series Rear Shocks with compression adjusters #25001-121A-EXT (Extended travel; I believe .5" more travel)

From factory, they said they have about 2" of preload already adjusted. They recommend adjusting at most 1-1.25" more preload to get around 2.5-2.75" lift total. You may adjust more to your liking of course, but as always, you will start producing a different ride quality than intended. YMMV

According to @90yota , his 700lb springs came with about .5" of threads showing/preload.

They also are starting to finalize their 3" diameter kits:
So, with all that out of the way, who's running Kings? What specific set up did you go with as far as UCAs, rear leafs, bumpstops, extended brake lines, etc? Thoughts about the suspension, their customer service (if applicable), etc? How much preload did you dial in? What's your wheel/tire specs and hub to fender, ground to fender measurements? Alignment specs? Any chopping/trimming/CMC etc?

Thanks man! Your posts were really the only ones that had some specific set-up info. You may post up your stuff with info if you'd like.

I got my Kings from DSM and they came with the 650# spring FYIW. Running Dakar Leafs, Light Racing UCAs, Wheeler's Superbumps front and rears, extended brake lines from HeadStrong. They're great on and off road.

    Edit: forgot the quote

How much preload/how much thread showing do you have? What's your hub to fender and ground to fender measurements and wheels/tires? I'd eventually to aim for a 2.75-3" lift with 700lb springs on 285/75/16s. Going with Dakars for the rear as well.

Running @JT@Bajakits (great company to deal with) UCA w/King 700# coils,
-Dakar springs and 5125 bilstein rears till I do a shock relocate
-Timbren flip kit with wheelers extended brake lines
-After shocks settled I adjusted coils 2 turns I recall
-running 35's but never got the hub to fender measurement before I hacked my fenders
-I don't have my print out of my castor specs but had shop push them as far forward as possible

    hope this helps

I don't think I have any preload, if I do very very minimal, I'd have to look when there's light out tomorrow. Same with the hub to fender. If I remember I'll bring a measuring tape to work so I can measure on flat ground. I'm running 265/75s and my next tire when these are done will probably be 255/85s. I don't plan on needing the 700# springs unless I get really chunky, which probably will happen a few years down.

Are the extended break lines and bump stops a requirement? I'm looking for a complete kit or a simple parts number shopping cart list of everything I need in one purchase. I'm fairly new to tacoma and lifts. With so many options it can get confusing.

Any reason not to run the same spring rate as stock, which if I'm not mistaken is 700lbs? I'm looking at either King or ADS.

No, extended brake lines are not required, but are recommended when going with a bigger rear leaf pack like the Dakars when at full droop or flex.

Most aftermarket manufacturers run 600-650lbs stock could be because of the way the shocks are valved and/or since they are the same parts as the 2nd gen which is a bit less weight up front. 700lb is fine if you can discern a ride quality (stiffness) and will work better when you have armor and/or winch up front. (From my understanding)

I'm also looking for info on how many threads are showing on a 3rd gen with a bumper and winch. Mine had a slight rake until I added the c4 bumper and 10 k winch and now it's sagging a lot with added weight. I got what looks to be 10 threads showing, I'll get measurement layer. I've read five threads equal a half inch. Can anybody confirm that?

I am thinking about purchasing the #700 springs because I will be adding amour down the road. Anyone else done this? Will the ride be really rough till I add weight?

I don't think it'd be really rough, but you may or may not even notice a difference. Depends on how sensitive you are about ride stiffness, your preferences etc. Especially if you do the compression adjusters you can tune the dampening down a bit so it may not be as rough. Maybe someone who has done it personally can chime in.

Thanks! @stronghammer started with the #700 lb springs on his 2nd gen and it worked fine. I was wondering if the 3rd gen would be any different. I can live with a stiff ride until I get some amour.

I read your original post wrong, I thought you meant you already have the stock 650 springs and wanted to go 700 and was seeing if the ride would be rougher. If you start out with 700lb springs, you probably wouldn't think it's stiffer because you don't have a base line to go off of on the coilovers.

It's not bad, I'm used to it. I have a bumper and winch about to be installed soon but my 700# ride fine. I'm sure I'll have to adjust the preload again once I add that
