Usually go where those dump trucks were and that trail takes you to the parking lot

I guess my question is why in the ever living fuck is the end of a trail closed and gated without some kind of big sign at the beginning of the trail? That, and closing a gate while someone is behind it are good ways to get your gate filled with tannerite and torched off. You're forcing people to destroy shit to get home.

    Ok, rant is over.

I figured it was just one more deterrent for the tweakers in their '86 Accord. Plus they probably didn't want all the logging trucks back there mysteriously driving off...

That part is fine, totally get it. They have to protect their equipment, and obviously the trail can't be open while it's getting logged. That part is all good. But nail a great big orange 4x8 sheet of plywood sign to a tree next to the entrance so the legit folks know what they're getting in to and don't have to create a trail to bypass a gate.

There was an existing 4WD bypass around the gate? It's the one we all took through the eco-blocks on the left side.

Pretty sure it was not a 4x4 bypass... ATV/side by side I thought. So if someone can't make it because they're stock with no sliders, they're boned.

No, solid colors only. If you can find a roll of camo, I'd be happy to help you wrap your truck though. :infantry:

No sign on the gate or contact info? Is this national Forest or private timber land?

State forest, and none that I saw. I've missed things like that before, but not when they were obvious.

Other than being a little narrow, I don't think a stock 4x4 would have had any issue. Especially Jeeps. Only real obstacle was that first buried eco-block that was only a foot or so high on the right.
A stock full-size truck (or small cars) would have had problems, for sure.

Pretty sure the majority of it is DNR land.

I've always thought about wrapping my truck. Not a fan of the silver, plus it adds some paint protection. How do you like it?

I wouldn't pay someone 2k to do it. It's not durable like paint. Probably only get 3 years at best out of it. It's a fair bit of work. However, when it's new it is absolutely gorgeous. Even when it's scratched up, it beautiful when it's clean. Wax is no longer necessary. Paint protection. Wanna try a different color next year?

Most pinstripes can be rubbed out once without taking off too much paint. So you should be able to buff the shit out of your current paint, get it as good as it can get, and then preserve it. It takes a retarded amount of damage to transfer it to the paint. Plastic parts aren't quite as good. Fender flares and your bumper cover will still scratch through to the plastic if it's a big enough scratch.

Moral of the story? I'm going to keep rewrapping my truck till something better comes along. It's just too flexible of a tool to discard.

Yeah, that was a good day. Buttered biscuit in Sumner for breakfast and then I spent about 5 times what I intended to. I'm in!

Hell no, never will! It's just really nice to have some air tank you can carry around. I used it today, in fact.
