Unless its a special wheel that's not listed as a stock size (highly doubtful), I don't have an answer either.

Plus, look at the chart on page 4. There's no way you can have a 5.47 (rounded to 5.5) and a -12mm os. It has to be +12. Regardless of manufacturer, that's the facts of wheel manufacturing as a whole.

That's what leads me to think that's its a typo and should say 4.53 with a -12mm os.

Funny. Mine are 4.53" bs with -12mm os, but maybe they make a different set. Dunno. But at any rate, the 5.47 and -12mm os can't occupy the same spec.

 

Do you have your wheels on yet? If so, tell me how much clearance you have between the UCA and sidewall. I'm curious.

If not, please post up after you get them with the exact dimensions.

 

I'm jus tryin to figure out what backspace wheels i have then? i know they are not 4.5" and they couldnt be 5.71". cause i dont think they would fit with 285's?

 

I have had them on for several years now. i had about 1/8th inch between the wheel and the stock uca.

I don't know? But i plan on buying a new set this summer so i would like to know what backspace i have! So to help me in purchasing the new ones. I want to add a little more width to my truck cause with the lift and bushwacker flares these wheels and tires look small.

 

Well in that case, just go with what I have. They will definitely push them out 2.25" past the fender. Is that enough?

 

Yeah would be perfect if i was sure yours were 4.53" backspace? i just went out and measured mine and they are 4.53inch backspace? my stockers are 5.25"backspace? now i'm really confused! Are you sure someone didnt slip a spacer in there without you knowing it?

 

Okay. I still have my stockers outside in the garage. I just measured them. They are 5.5". I measured the XD's before installation. They were 4.5" exactly. I watched them install them at the local shop and they placed them directly on the hub...no spacers.

Now, I know that when I had the stockers on there with the Dunlop AT20's, I only had about 1/8 - 1/4" of clearance between the UCA and sidewall...from the factory. I now have a little over an inch. This makes perfect sense to me because 5.5" to the 4.5" added 1".

Go back to post #83 on page 5. That link has another person who installed a 4.5" bs with stock tires...his also stick out about 2". The main difference between his and mine are the tires. Mine have a more squared shoulder.

Dunno what more to tell ya...

 

I just went out and took a picture of the side of the box that my rims came in...



This matches your info above, but it definitely measures 4.5" bs.

Also, see the space between the UCA and the tire...



If you're wanting yours to stick further outside the fender, and you like the distance mine show, then buy a 4.5" bs, with a 12mm os.

 

Ok cool! Now I'm confident that yours are 4.53" bs and-12mm os. Thanks for the info! I'm still a little confused however? I guess my stock wheels have less bs because mine being an O.R. And coming with bigger tires 265's vs245's on the sporty's? I can't remember how much space I had before the lift? I guess the lift is pushing the uca closer to the tire?

 

Hey David, I'm sorry if I'm "hijacking" but you seem to know and understand this a lot.

I see your post with your wheel box that says 106.25mm Hub. I've been finding a lot of wheels with that Hub with a 18mm offset or a 110.5mm Hub with a -12mm offset. I'm not sure what all this means. I've pretty much narrowed down that I am doing: 265/65/18 tires in order to not lift the truck.

 

That's just the size of the center hole of the wheel. I bought my rims from wheelsforless.com. They provide what's called hub rings with purchase. It's a plastic piece that goes inside the wheel to take up the gap between the size of the wheel hole and the size of the trucks hub. These rings help keep the wheel centered on the hub, instead of simply relying on the lugs.

265/65/18's will be great, but depending on what wheel you choose, you could still rub. Remember, its the the wheel that pushes the tires out. In turn, the outside of the tire rubs on the inside of the fender at full lock.
