There are some hidden bolts for the fender. Once I found them, it was ok. I think i need to realign it tomorrow. But its ok now.

The top stud hits the cab under the fender

Lol at trying to accommodate a 'CAI' while installing a real CAI. Ditch the stupid rice boxes and run stock.

I was working on my Wife's XJ while Ryan installed his snorkel. I did hear grumbling coming from his direction. Maybe that's what it was?

Who has the TRD intake? Its different than the stock. Doesn't have the elbow coming from it into the fender. So i dont need to cut anything. But the hole to the filter box is larger.

Did you use an open ratcheting wrench?

You have to have something coming off the filter housing and going into the fender. I can see it on mine when looking down at it between the housing and the inner fender. What diameter is it?

Ill get you an exact measurement in a while. But its about a 4" OD. There is a rubber "velocity stack" that goes above the fender liner, and thats it.

I have all of that out, so i can take better pictures for you.

Also, i took the fender off because I realized it is holding the elbow from the snorkel, on.

Note, you need a dremel with metal cutting discs. I didn't have one, so I somehow fit a 4" cut off wheel in there, and cut the bracket.

@stairgod this is what's on the intake box

I cut the lip off, trying to use that rubber piece as a coupler, but didnt work.

And the 4" fernco was too big. The 3" fernco fit inside, but didn't fit the elbow of the snorkel part. I have something else that I hope fits..

I did it the easy way... Keep all nuts loose, pull snorkel away from truck so you have room to put nut and washer on stud, push snorkel back toward truck, hand tighten nut, tighten up with open end wrench.... The most difficult part for me was shoving the elbow through the hole in the wheel well, needed a flat head screwdriver and extra set of hands
