Very interesting. I haven't heard of anyone trying that on our tacos but that doesn't mean jack squat. Keep us posted.

The tie rod ends would have to be switched from side to side. I don't remember for sure if one is reverse threaded.

I'm not sure this would be a good idea if you plan on using all of your suspension travel. If you only have spacer, taller coil, coilovers for a lift, all you have done is push the suspension down at ride height. The suspension still travels through its stock range (maybe a little more), you just have less droop and more compression. At full compression your tie rod would probably bind/break.

Now if you have longer control arms for extended travel, this could help. But if that is the case you probably have different tie rods altogether.

Have to do some more research on it.

I'm not a suspension guru, but I'm pretty sure that'd give you really bad bump steer. When people set up steering geometry they usually try to set tie rods to be parallel/co-axial with the lower control arm. You'd be moving that outboard point up maybe 2" but not moving the inboard point to properly line up the tie rod. Maybe on a rock crawling rig you could do it, but not on something you'd street regularly.

I'm thinking on trucks with 3inch lift kits were the tierod end is at a severe angle downward. Ya I see your point

Geometry is geometry man, the LCA/UCA are also moving, so when you're lifted that tie rod should still be aimed at the instant center.

Are you thinking because it'd give you more droop travel? You can test that already, just pull the tie rod off and see if it droops more.

My original thoughts were to take some of the stress off the inner tierod end. But geometry is what it is
    Soooo.... Rock crawler only.
