So I have my 2010 timberline mica sport and I'm wanting to get smalled rims for it. And I'm really thinking about getting the fj anthracite ones. I called my dealer and with my 10% disc the rims would be like 143 a piece with tax. To me I think that's a good deal. I'm just curious what do u guys think of that rim with a green truck and those who have them how well do they hold up with regular driving? I dunno I'm gunna lift the truck and I like the look of more tire and less rim.

    A few bolts are different.
If your going to offroad them they tear up easily. The way they are made puts the spokes out there a they are very susceptible to rocks damaging the silver finish.

PS. the finish is white under the silver.

So I'm still on the fence about these rims. I got another question. What is the largest tire I can run on these rims without any rubbing issue? I'm planning on doing a Ome lift in the next couple of months but I will be running stock with these rims for a alittle while and just don't want anything to go wrong in the meantime.

Ok so I was reading that if I wanna run a 285 size tire on factory rims that I would need a spacer to ensure no rubbing issues. Is that true foe these rims as well?

You asked what's the largest you could run on a stock rim. Granted the FJ's are not stock on our trucks, but they meet our stock size. That link says the largest on a 16" wheel is 265/75-R16. You will most likely need a spacer if you run 285's, however, I'm not 100% positive on how big it needs to be...and you will most likely need to do some trimming in the fender area. There again, not sure on how much because I've not personally tried 285's on 16's.

Maybe someone else will chime in on the subject for a more definitive answer.

Maybe I'll just stick with the 265s then. I'm planning on running at least a 2 1/2 lift but I have to get my tires and rims right away cause my boss is buying my crappy bridgstones and he needs em asap.

I got them with 285s and had to do a little trimming, no where close to the cab mounts though

Well I finally ordered 4 from the dealer. With my discount and tax I'm looking right around 570. No I just gotta get the tires.
