    I like 'em a lot. In reality, like most of us, 95% of my miles (maybe more) are on paved roads. They do great there. They're passing 45,000 miles and still have 2/3rds tread left. They have a reputation of being hard to balance. Trick there is to run enough psi....35+ they ride like they're smooth as a baby's ass. Run highway speeds at low psi, and even if balanced well, they will shake like a bowling ball in a blender. Mine are load range C. Did NOT effect gas mileage (from Yokohama Geolander 265/75/16's that came on the truck when I bought it) I still get north of 21mpg most of the time. Off road they do just fine. Duratracs are a hybrid tread. (Not quite a M/T, not quite an A/T...somewhere in between) They've seen plenty of off road miles in rock, mud, slate, shale, etc....Not the first sign of a cut, scrape, chunking, scuffing, etc...

    Duratracs don't come in a 255/85/16, so I may not be replacing mine with same.... If I go with 285/75/16's, they are near the top of the short list.

    It's about 6.5 hours according to google. So, throw in a stop for food/fuel, a few bathroom breaks for the pup and me....let's call it at least 7.5 hours.
