    Before you install those- I would do a better job sealing them. I have mine up and one has water in it and is yellowed. The Amazon comments suggested this but I didn't listen.

    I'm doing it because I want the least amount of conductive resistance in my system. I'm planning on adding a higher capacity battery and alternator in the future so I'm running some of the best cable available. Toyota is going to use the best parts within budget. It doesn't make economic sense for auto manufacturers to use the BEST materials available. . That's why you can find alot of aftermarket upgrades. Following your reasoning Toyota should have installed 5100's from factory along with Dakars in the rear. It's not really needed if your running stock.
