find someone in nh to register it, then have them "sell" it to her, then she uses that old reg to register in mass

Ahh, well I guess that's different.

@mach1man001 Thats why I would fight it, I got a ticket and the guy next to me didn't with the same issue? Why is it enforced with one not the other.

OK..it was reg'd in MA at some point. He bought it many yrs ago and had it legal when no title was needed so perhaps there's record of it on their side too..not that I want to put my fate in the RMV's hands.

  sounds like it worked out well. I love how the 07 sounds with an akropovich pipe. I would like to get one someday, but I've been spending my money on bicycles. I ride those a lot more.

it's a great bike, i can't complain, but i just really miss riding a sportbike on the street. and every time i get on a friend's cbr like mine, it makes me wish i had mine on the street still. so it only made sense to buy another just like it

More or less. Everything, or most materials, will be required to have a chain of custody. We pass a lot of the responsibility on to the subcontractors but the submittal phase is extremely important. There are all the normal submittals to vet out, but then there are a whole separate set of LEED specific submittals and close out documents that are required. There are also things you have to do during construction like sorting your debris for recycling.

I don't think I would fight it either, just too much time and effort, but from what I have heard in NH anyway, most of these loud exhaust cases are being thrown out immediately because technically how do you ticket on noise level (subjective) when you don't have db meters with a reading or number or whatever the you need to measure noise. It's just based on the officer and what side of the bed he woke up on? Not acceptable.

LEED is real easy for me, I just put on my supplier. It becomes his problem. If he wants the job, he deals with it!

I had akros on my SV1000S and a pipercross racing air box. The thing was rediculously loud. Sometimes I wish I could find that bike and buy it back. Now is one of those times. . .

Nothing wrong with that, might as well have what you really want..

OK I messed up. My friend's hubby (he) bought it as a teenager and has owned it ever since. Never met him, but my friend (she) asked me the other day about this nonsense.

Course I bet they make them buy a title now..asses

That's the idea of what we do also, we just pass it along to our subcontractors. Truth be told though, it becomes our issue to track and make sure we end up with the certification at the end of the day.

I always had good experiences at the registry until last week.

I bought a Volvo XC70 with many issues and it's to the point where I could register it and fix the remaining problems when I feel like it. Went to register it and waited an hour. Exactly one other person there for a registration was helped in that time frame. There were still four more in front of me. I couldn't take more time out of my day.

But, that person was turned away because they don't accept credit cards for registrations. How nuts is that? It never occurred to me to even check, because I had renewed my license in person with a card before. Apparently that's how it is.

They insist on charging me tax based on book value. So, I'll be paying based on probably $6000 rather than the $1000 I paid for the Volvo (that's another thing--they're pretty ambiguous about what they take into account for book value, so it's impossible to know in advance what it will be) Where in the world does that money go if they're still living in the 1950s?
