I replaced these last year with a lot of help and guidance from @allmotorrex (He may have done a good chunk of it). It was not difficult and totally worth it. I didn't realize that you could get brand new ones from Rock auto for $80-100. That seems like it could be a good way to go as well.

New ones from rock auto are definitely worth it unless you want poly bushings. I'd pay for the poly bushings over getting free new lcas.

Tim, if you have any mechanical sense, you have to do this yourself. Removing the LCA is 5 bolts: lower coilover mount, 2 bolts at the spindle and 2 cam bolts at the frame. Start to finish I'd give a rookie mechanic 2 hrs.

If you want to put poly bushings in your current arms, all you need extra is a propane torch. The instructions that come with the Energy Suspension kit are all you need. You will grind down the metal flare holding the washer on then knock it off with a hammer. The stock bushings are glued in so evenly heat up the cup holding the bushing and it will squeeze itself out then scrape the rest of the bushings off the center sleeve and clean it up. Then grease and slide in the new bushings, put that washer back on and mushroom the piece of metal back out and you're done. I think we did Jake's in about 2 hrs.

Yeah I hope. I told Sarah last night you weren't coming and she said "Why!? I like Dave. He's fun."

I wouldn't have thought anything about that comment but then she winked at me and gave me that "let's have dirty, cum on my face, sex" look. Now being super excited about going to bed, I told her to let me finish something real quick and I'd be in there. A few minutes later, I arrived to find her asleep. How could she give me that look and tease me with erotic fantasies and then care so little as to pass out a moment later!? She's never done this before. Maybe she drugged herself or I took longer to get here then I thought or she wanted to go to sleep as soon as possible because she planned on this occurring in the morning. I was truly perplexed. It was then in this silent moment of stupefied ignorance that I realized what had occurred. The comment "he's fun" followed by sexual tension was directly correlated to one another and I was not the one whom it was intended for. Having made this self-mutilating revelation, I sat there in horror thinking of all the terrible things I would do to "Dave" to insure these thoughts never came to fruition. Just as I had devised my ultimate diabolical scheme, I was prematurely distracted by the theme song of "Dexter's Laboratory" and found myself floating off into heavenly cartoon bliss.

When I awoke this morning, I had completely forgot what my plan was and honestly don't care to re-plan it so you're off the hook. :D

Yea, your description sounds similar to the videos I've watched. My dilemma is finding a place to do the work. My brother has a garage but lives several hours away and I live in a condo in downtown Nashville. I'll probably try to plan a weekend with my brother so I can get this done before LBL.

Should I anticipate or plan to replace anything else while I have all of this apart?

@allmotorrex do you use a bottle jack to push out the old bushing? How do you press in the new bushing?

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
lca bushing basically falls out once hot enough to break adhesive.
Use Map gas (yellow), not propane (blue).

No. A big enough c clamp works just fine. They press in pretty easy.
