Bought a Motofab spacer/lift kit. Should be here for a weekend project. Can't wait!

About to pull the trigger on some Methods. Anyone want to buy my 16" TRD Beadlocks in gray? Local to Southern California only.

 

I bought a 3rd gen today. Traded in my 2005 SR5 4cyl 4x4 5MT after a frame replacement and $5k in other repairs. Internal bearing went out of transmission and the decision had to be made. Spent 220,000 miles in that old girl. Picked up a V6 SR5 4x4 AT. I love it but you never get over the one you had for 10 years. Let the mods begin.

 

I picked up my truck yesterday did my 0 K maintenance today.
I will not assume everything is as it should be just because it's new.
I checked my front and rear diff fluid levels, manual transmission fluid level, torqued the drive shaft bolts, torqued the wheel nuts, greased the zerks on my drive shaft and applied silicone spray and lithium grease where necessary. Also checked engine oil, brake/clutch fluid, coolant, washer fluid and power steering fluid levels.

What I discovered: tranny, front and rear diff were all low on fluid. (see my maintenance thread in my sig for details)
Also, the u joints needed 3-5 pumps of grease before they were able to push out all the air.
I LOVE my tacoma, but this is just another case of trucks coming from the factory with low fluid and improperly greased u joints.

I digest.

 

Hey man did u remove the scoop to Plasti Dip or did u do it with the scoop on? Was there any challenges? Love the exhaust by the way!

I drive home around that time on Arboles in a MGM long bed haha. Just picked up a pro grille. I'll keep an eye out!

Keep what you have, they look great. 6 out of 10 trucks I see around So Ca have methods now.

couple small things today.. put a screen protector on my radio and photochopped me up a startup/screen off image .... waiting on all my LED bulbs to come in.. out of money for a little bit lol

 

...for my bakflip, i connected drain tubes to a metal adapter that fit into the existing drain holes....dont have a pick right now, but can find it in the bakflip thread later...
