I would definitely invest in some way to monitor your afr the very least. Just because you think it runs fine doesn't mean it is. Cheapest way is scangauge or obd Bluetooth connected to your phone. I'd hate to see all you bully dog guys with blown motors after 10 or 20k miles later.

I have had the stage 2 for years. Ran it with NA and it was great. A little louder, yes, but never had problems. I actually bought a second dry filter element so when I do my 5k services I can pull the dirty one, pop the clean one in, and then wash the dirty one and let it dry. It is plenty dry by the time my next change out is due :)

Now that I have the SC, I don't even notice the intake noise. I dont notice the exhaust anymore either for that matter. All I hear is that sweet, sweet whine of the SC.
I cant tell you how many times I ran back and forth to a computer to download and install fresh "tunes". Cursing, throwing stuff, maybe some occasional tears being shed, and it never did work. The truck actually stumbled and hesitated when giving it gas. I tried all the other stuff too, pulling battery cable, going back to stock then re-flashing, etc... NOTHING WORKED.

Eventually I went to Toyota. They said "you already have the TRD flash" but when I left it didn't stumble anymore. I asked them to reflash anyway and they said they did, but who knows. It still felt/feels sluggish until I put the skinny pedal to the floor and I assume it goes into open loop, but until then it feels like something is holding it back just a bit. @loginfailed had success with the afr cal, thats why I bought yours. Hoping it solves my issues as well since mine sound to be similar to his.

Has anyone checked recently to see if bd has any updates?
This whole mess is getting more and more aggravating.
UCON seems the only real solution but its not available but maybe soon and even then I'll have to buy a new ecu which is ridiculous too.

I haven't. That thing scares me and pisses me off at the same time. I know someone said they didnt write the code, only flash it. But I still dont like it.

Well, I reached out to Magnuson via their contact form. Hopefully I can talk to a tech. Maybe they have a non-CARB tune. Or some other helpful tips. They are the source of the tunes anyway. Bd is just the messenger.

You don't need a new ecu for ucon, gadget will get it working. Might need some tweaking once installed but that's why I went that route for the support.

Good luck! I was emailing back and forth with Dan but haven't heard back after I told him it wasn't my afr gauge being faulty.

Must be a whole run of faulty AFR gauges, from different manufacturers even. What a cop out.

TLDR? I don't recognize the abbreviation.

But that's because there is any stock calibration files (tunes) available in TIS, except few updates for some Tacoma model versions. Maybe they would work.

Got an email from Dan. I'll try and get a data log for him.
He says they dont support the 2.85 pulley.... but they provided a tune for it lol

Ah, gotcah. The BD tuner has "stock" tunes though. I wonder what toyota tune they mimic.

TLDR is Too Long Didn't Read... for those of us that are either lazy or don't have the time to catch up on the thread. I like to think I fall into the latter category.
