@nfs257 has a few of the mob mounts in his rig, as pictured here, I don't know model info. Whatever they are, if they work for him, probably safe to say, they'll work for others. :D

Thank you for your input on your setup. I'd like to stay away from just the window mount just because I would also be using it on my RZR when riding as well. If I go with possibly the U Bolt or another setup, I could interchange them when needed!

That's what I'm thinking. Does the 3 way pivot arm get you much more adjusting or does the single arm like you pictured above seem to get you enough adjustment with the ball and socket joint? Sorry for all the questions I'm new at looking at these so just trying to see my best setup the first time around. They have the UBolt Kit for $48 with the single arm but if I put together my own kit with the 3 way pivot arm it'll be about $54 and save me roughly 10 bucks.

I have a fairly simple phone/gadget mount mod linked in my signature that might help provide a solution.

I've had the mob armor mount for the last 2 years and love it for my phone. I haven't really gone off road too much with the phone in the mount (usually stays in my pocket) but its held up well overall and the magnet is really strong. I have no concerns with it.

for my ipad mini, I've been using the extreme tech deck (the one with the extra metal brace?) + ram mount holder and its been awesome on and off the trail.

I used solar to keep the main topped off till I went to a true dual setup. Still have the panels but moved them to the secondary battery.

How long did you run it on the main for before you went to dual battery?

About 2 years. All I did was get some panels, a charge controller and some wire. I have them on a permanent roof mount and the charge controller is attached to the left side of the drivers seat and then back into the engine bay. It worked really well when we killed the battery keeping the fridge on while camping. we pushed the truck backwards into the sun for about an hour while we packed up camp and then it started right up.

I was reading your addition in the dual battery thread. The ctek seems like a really easy way to add the battery. Been debating between that unit and the blue sea ml-ace unit.

Any input of why you went for the ctek over the other options?

Yes because the CTEK will properly charge a 12v battery, while an alternator never will.

Said another way, multi-stage charger vs. constant voltage charging source.

Plus the CTEK is solar MPPT charger as well, so lots of bang for the buck and it's all in one so it minimizes complexity. I'ts a win-win-win scenario!

Gotcha, I'll have to look into the difference between the multi stage vs constant voltage charge.

Just seems to easy to install lol. I have the solar setup currently so to add that to the blue sea isn't too bad at all, but the addition of the breakers and wire I'll be around the same price as the ctek. I am having my second battery in the bed like yours. So really the price of my setup will just be the addition of the actual units (ctek or blue sea ml-acr) and wire.
