2nd gen beds

How tuff are the 2nd gen truck beds?

 

pretty tough, i have never heard of somebody even cracking one except this guy who had a loose transmission in the bed slam into the front end and it was only a small crack. but on the plus they dont rust the only thing i dont like is how easy they scratch

 

Tough enough for me although they do scratch easily and are kind of slippery but that's easily fixed with a bed mat.

 

Can the spray in bed liner be applied on top of the composite for added protection?

 

My bed is scuffed really bad, I wish I could fix it! It's also loosing it's color! What can I do.

this is the question of life, i have wanted to know this forever i would take it down to have the whole bed linexed if i knew it would last

 

If I were you guys I would just get a bed mat. It's probably cheaper and can be replaced if you have problems. Not to mention that things will slide much less than a sprayed bed because they are rubber.
