Here are the pics with it sitting on my hood that you asked for. I obviously would have to drill into the hood and bolt it on the hood and you can see the two front plugs (whatever they are called) that have the hood propped up a little. That would obviously sit flush to the hood and sit on the center of the hood. IMG_3335.jpgIMG_3338.jpg IMG_3339.jpgIMG_3340.jpg

I agree, don't do it! :) A non-functional hood scoop from the factory, I like mine but I wouldn't drill into a perfectly good hood to actually install a non-functional hood scoop. Buy a factory scooped hood and sell the old one or try to swap. I've always liked the factory scoop, however the non-scooped hoods look great too

Exactly what he said, or just buy this one, an actually functioning hood scoop.

Looks awesome, I have the same size tires on my silver DCLB, the lift looks great! How much lift do you think you got in the front & rear?

    Yes,

I was able to do all of the obstacles, but once you come out of the stream (there was a ton of melting snow) there is one last crawl over a couple of rocks

Approximately 2 inches up front and about 2.5 in the rear with the overload left in. I carry over 600 pounds of equipment daily and think it leveled off nicely.

I say do it... if you can make it a true functional ram air. You'll have to drill into the hood anyway, might as well cut out a bottom underneath and fab some kind of scoop to force it straight into the throttle body.

Forgot to mention the 2.5 was right after install and probably has settled closer to 2 inches.

Why in the world would you make it to force it straight into the throttle body?

    I was being facetious...
But in all honesty, it would be sitting right on top of the throttle body more/less. Otherwise you'd have it wind it back over to the intake
