Yea, i agree it is not for the big stuff, but for wrenching on the truck and doing simpler tasks it works really well.

If I need to get something stubborn undone, I bring out the big wrench.

No doubt. I use my 1/4" DeWalt impact driver all the time for stuff like that. Super useful.

If I ever needed something for bigger tasks I would just do a corded one like other have recommended. But for something I can throw in the truck for trips and doing wheel changes, this one works well.

Just brought my plug-in impact on a trail run in Anza Borrego. Turns out we had to do some repairs on someone else's truck. The 400W plug in the bed does not quite perform as well as the outlet at my house. we had trouble getting lug nuts off with it.

That's the one I have as well and I have nothing but good things to say about it. I leaned in that direction as I have the 20V brushless drill/impact driver combo as well; it made sense to get a cordless tool compatible with the battery system I already had.

That actually looks nice, I also have a c3 but it's definitely not that as it looks different, I'm guessing one i have isn't heavy duty. I hardly use it as it never seems to works for what I need(swapping wheels and such)

    EXACTLY!

Anything that plugs into that 110v outlet is going cause problems if it draws much over 3 amps. I think most power tools use way over 3 amps.

    Whole bunch of shit! $$$
3/4" is overkill, and the impact sockets in that size drive are more expensive too.....get a 1/2" drive 18v Rigid with a lifetime warranty , and you probably already have a complete set of 1/2" impacts already

This is what I have. I liked it so much I bought a second one. One is in the garage and one in the truck. I swap the batteries around every once in a while. For the price if something happens to it I don't care.
I've had one of them for 4 years now. I have a bunch of ryobi 18v lithium, for the price you can't beat them, they work great, and if one does get lost or broken I just consider them throw away anyway. They are half the price of "name brands" (especially nice for batteries) and made by the same company as name brands like Milwaukee.

I have the same one, it's priceless. It stays in the truck with a 5ah battery if i need it. Just pulled it out last night to do an AAL. Removed wheels, used it for the u-bolts, and the battery was still fully charged. Last time the battery was charged was about a month ago.

Yea, I like mine a lot. DeWalt (Blacker + Decker) is local to me. I know a few people that work there designing power tools. Those guys call this tool 'Bruiser'.

The only cordless impact I've ever seen that was really stout was an industrial Ingersall Rand. It was about 400 bux though and the battery was tool specific. It could tighten tighter than I could with a 1' 1/2 combo wrench.

I hope they come out with a FlexVolt version (60V). That would be awesome. I have one of the FlexVolt cordless grinders and it's pretty badass. No more wires plugged in all over the weld table.
