Correct. We don't always like what other people do to their vehicles and they might not like what we do to ours. That shouldn't matter as long you like yours and they like theirs.

Here is another example of someone taking a chance on a hood scoop. Not too shabby IMO.

Thanks. I called an installer and found one that does installs for manuals. They use a bypass and wanted to sell me the alarm. I asked to opt out of the alarm and just the remote start and he was going the sales thing again.. I don't like that..

anyway.. the only thing I found odd was that in order for the remote start to work, I would need to put in neutral, pull the hand brake, take the key out, and then close the door. By doing these steps every time, it will allow me to remote start the truck. That didn't sound right. I will continue calling around and see if i can land anything solid.

would be nice to find device(s) and installer that allows me to use the OE key and start the car. In a more perfect world, the system checks that the hand brake is engaged then activate the clutch cancel and start the vehicle. I will also be pleased with a system that will check that the gear is in neutral and start the car, otherwise, cancel the start if it's in gear. I don't want to be doing a ritual to make it work.

You know I never really thought of it this way. What's the worse thing, I buy a sport hood later and replace my hood regardless if I don't like it or I take it off and keep my hood how it is currently. Good point.

Will this allow me to take it off if I dislike it?

Not sure about epoxy. I would look for something more in the glue family that can be removed with a heat gun more easily. Talk to a body mechanic who is an expert. I bet if you do it right you will be happy with it and spend that $700 on other mods or on a guy from tw that made a good suggestion.
Look on google for tacomas with added scoops. There are plenty of 2nd gen ones there to compare. Once you mount it you may set a trend for others to follow. Many owners don't have $700 laying around for a cosmetic upgrade.

It looks just fine. Save some money if you have trouble or thoughts about having mounting it. Talk to the body shop they may be able to help you mount it. Plus they are experienced. Wouldn't be a bad idea to stop by one and have them look at it. Professional people have good opinions. And can tell if it would fit right. It looks good go for it

Yes it does. Was trying to be optimistic. I would have at least painted it to match. Just showing that people have the right to make their own mods. If I did not own a sport I would be open to the idea. Thats why I bought a sport.

I like them, I've used the Night Techs on other cars before (Honda CRV) and they've always performed the same, nice and crisp bright white beam. It kind of got me worried using them in the Tacoma though because of how high it sits but so far I haven't had anyone flash me for blinding them haha It's been foggy the past couple nights in Socal and the headlights and the yellow fogs cut through it like nothing. So yeah these get a thumbs up from me.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. More like whoever makes the payment can do whatever they want to their truck. Hell I like my chrome(ish) sport grille. I am totally whacked.

Thanks! I've had the yellow in my "things to buy" spreadsheet for a while now, but undecided between the Night Tech's and the Extreme White. I don't know that the difference in cost will equal a difference in bulb life, throw, etc..
