Pulled into my underground parking this afternoon... Stopped under gate for a second too long and gate began to shut...

Ooooof......that sucks. Address the GPS antenna asap in case it's no longer sealed to the roof

That sucks. Buff it out fix the antenna and live with it is probably best option. How often do you really look at the roof of your truck anyway? Get a roof rack.

Dang that blows OP, doesnt look awful bad though, hope its an inexpensive fix

That has not happened to me but once i was on my zx6r stopped at an apt complex exit gate, as i was waiting for traffic to clear the gate started to close. I couldnt see if ofcourse but i was still far enough in for gate to hit me. It was a bit of a stunner at first, but the gate backed up and came at me again and knocked my right off the bike. Embarassing.

I'd be pissed probably would have wrecked that guys face if nothing else blame him for damage and contact insurance if your worried about it. If not buy the eBay antenna for 20 bux and live with it at least it's on the roof

Jack up insurance rates for a couple scratches? Is it really worth it? Your gunna have to pay deductible plus extra money on insurance for the next 3 years. Or live with it on your roof cuz your never up there to look at it and just fix what you can. Your truck though me personally even if new would just bite the bullet and live with it. Chalk it up to bad idea and keep it there as a reminder

If it's dented bad at all super easy to hit your roof upwards from inside and get the dents out I'd leave the rest as a reminder of bad decisions

Sorry for the bad luck, this is where a roof rack would have come in handy.

Depends on how much you plan on beating on the truck and stuff. I have key marks that did 3k worth of damage and a big ass dent on my driver door neither caused by me I just left alone cuz I know shit will just get fucked up again later in life and it's a truck so it's made for that stuff. It's your truck though if you want it 100% and that makes you happy then who cares what the fuck I say

Hope the apartment complex takes care of it for you.

My guess is that they will as this is probably a common occurrence and their insurance likely has a fast track for these payouts.

i did that years ago with my mustang in my garage, It was an old door opener and didnt have the sensors. I was leaving for work early and wasnt thinking and hit the button to early and did a good one on the roof.
Cost $150 for a PDR guy to fix the dent, it was like the whole width of the roof towards the rear. Most body shops quoted about $450 to paint the roof. so that gives you an estimate.

Could be worse. The clearcoat of the roof on 90-95% of my 05 Tacoma is gone. And to add to that 25% of my hood. Learned to live with it for the past half year. But of course, i'll have to address that issue eventually.
