Is it stolen is stolen? Or is it Chinese companies steal designs so it expected and therefore ok?

 

Unless you can fabricate and a get super deals on steel, maybe. If you can't do the work $200 is not even a dream....

Can get the steel delivered right to the loading dock here. I learned welding in high school, obviously rusty 11 years later, but I have friends here at work who would love to help me out for FREE!

AllPro didn't go to China to have their stuff manufactured like Yeti did.

Yeti set themselves up for this.

Yet, I still bought Yeti, because morals and values.




So, someone in America stole AllPro's design and then sent it to China to have it made.

 

So the fact that allpro never patented or trademarked their own design (which costs less than most people think) didn't set up themselves up?

 

Morals and values about "American Made", yet knowingly buys an over-priced Made in China product when the $12 Made in China product sold at Walmart is the exact same.

 

Litigation is so expensive that a small business probably wouldnt "win" trying to defend a patent or trademark anyhow. Shitty world.

That's like bragging about paying $40 for a $8 shirt. Material is the same, function is the same. Only difference is the name on the tag. At least you got a "cool" sticker you can through on the back windshield I guess.

 

It doesn't take thousands of dollars. The fee filling a patent is just under $100. There is no fee to file a complaint with the federal trade commission, which had the power to block the product from being imported.

 

While true, AllPro is not new to business. They have been around for a while and as a "small business" the SBA and local chambers of commerce have programs to help cover those costs. In many cases covering them completely.

 

no one has asked for approval of any kind. People are just getting fed up with the TW elitism and countering your disapproval. People are buying them because they can.

 

Nobody cares, it will forever be known as the the fake all-pro or Ebay bumper. Not my problem. But glad there's an alternate for those that don't wanna pay. I'm also happy they also didn't copy the hoop designs.
