Did you use the link before? Could just be pulling the cached version for you.

 

It just died for me.

 

Sometimes the link worked for me and sometimes didn't. Just keep trying the original link

 

This is weird. Each time I click the link I have around a 50/50 chance of 404 error or actually pulling the page. Hitting refresh seems to help.

 

Just tried again and got the 404.

 

It works! I got the 404 and then refreshed and it came up... Strange indeed.

 

Weird I tried to load it just now and nothing. Lol

 

If you ever do get it to work, its a great read.

 

It was actually a lot longer. Had to trim it down so it wouldn't be too boring. Maybe I'll see if we can get the full thing posted somewhere else.

It's an awesome write-up. I haven't seen that area yet... Makes me want to get a plan together to do it.

Fixed the link, it works now. Expo is fixing stuff so original link was faulty.

 

I'm currently building a SAS 2nd gen Tacoma. It will mostly be a wheeler but I have some long distance trips planned for it in the next few years so fuel capacity is a consideration. My current range is only about 200 miles on the highway. I'm getting started on the bed build now. I ran across this

RDS Aluminum Transfer Fuel Tank — 45-Gallon, Vertical, Diamond Plate Model# 71083 | Transfer Tanks| Northern Tool + Equipment
on Northern Tool and it looks like a possible solution. It's slightly narrower than the cab and the mounting position would be reasonably ideal...I think. Figuring out how to plumb it might take some doing.

Anyone have any thoughts or input on the idea.

 

Are you still using the factory tank?

I think @G.T. had found an extended range tank at some point?
