I tried to keep it some what simple, there is just sooooo much information that could be covered and discussed.

Best thing anyone could do is keep exactly what Jerry said, some band aids, gauze, roll of tape and ointments.

Second best thing, is some kind of medical Id card. iPhone users can input their data into an emergency ID thing that shows up only when the emergency mode is activated. Other options include these little cards that we use to hand out that could be stuck to the fridge.

Lists meds, allergies to medications, surgery and other medical issues that would be vital info in the case of an accident or emergency.

I like the idea of a tattoo for medical info. Blood type, allergies, etc.
My artist actually inked a medic alert bracelet on a diabetic customer once.

That get's iffy, there was a large thing with the Do Not Resuscitate thing getting tattooed, bad news, it doesn't work. It has to be a legal document.

But perhaps blood type and allergies would work, some place obvious would work, but EMT's won't likely go looking for it.

Does saline freeze when left in the truck over the winter?
How long do can keep it in your kit before you rotate it out?

Most of them are marked with expiration dates either on the bottle, or the flush or the wrapper of the flush. Depends on what you get.

Yes. They do get slushy... but it's gotta be pretty freaking cold for that to happen. As in you left it in the bed of your truck with out a cap in the blizzard...

Freezing point of water is 32 degrees F (0 deg C)
Freezing point of 0.9% Normal Saline is ~26 degrees F (-3.34 deg C)

Even if it does freeze, you can thaw it out completely, mix well and it will be the exact same 0.9% Saline solution before it was frozen.
