Is anyone else annoyed by how easy it is to buy trd pro stuff? Tired of seeing non pro tacomas with pro stuff on it. Toyota shouldn't be selling so many of them. It takes away from the exclusivity.

Nope. I got a Pro because I wasn't thoroughly interested in piecing together all the TRD Pro stuff onto a different trim. I wanted to just leave the dealer with them on from the get-go.
Seeing people with the Pro stuff shows they're enthusiasts.

As far as "exclusivity" goes, I've only really seen TRD Pro parts on trucks on this forum, not so much out in streets.

i kind of agree, it's nice to have the exclusivity, I've had it in previous cars before. but i got the truck for the whole package and not needing to do too much modding to be happy, so i am indeed super happy with my truck, and i don't give any care about who has what parts on their vehicles or where they came from. everyone can be happy. there's like a gabillion Tacomas, it can't be that exclusive.

Haven't seen em selling a bucket of cement paint yet.

Let everyone bolt on what they want. Like 0.00003% of the population will know it's Pro parts on a non-Pro, and a fraction of those folks will care.

I like seeing other enthusiasts, and I can spot them by their mods. Unfortunately, it's mostly just caps they put on around here.

Not at all. The Pro could be identical to all other trucks that can be built, what wont be identical is where they are made, the VIN and the value. With the limited run of these trucks, they will hold their Toyota value and then some because we all paid the premium to buy them.

In the scheme of things, Raptors are really cool and they hold their value for Fords, but they were mass produced. Three months later and I have only seen two others (one was cement, the other was a 4runner and I think Ive seen it twice) how many Real TRD Pro trucks have you come across?

I've only seen one other pro on the street. White pro drove right in front of me as I approached a stop sign. He turned his head too because he was probably just as shocked as I was to see another pro.

Only one pro 4runner. I've seen a hand full of fake looking tacoma pros. Some people are going as far as putting pro emblems. But I guess people want what they can't have. I hope people don't sucker others into buying a fake one. Does the VIN actually distinguish between them?

That's why you buy a Cement Pro.

Anybody can slap a Pro Grill onto their truck. Not many people can afford to repaint their entire truck with an exclusive factory color.

Who wants a pro? Honestly? The TRD Offroad 4Runner is way more capable off road than a silly badged PRO.

Might as add, the previous version was the Trail Edition with KDSS which to my knowledge isn't offered in the Pro package.

Fancy badges and fancy shocks with less capability. Just saying.

Stop being an ass about it. I drive a Subaru WRX STi that I'm trying to make look less an STi but any WRX owner can go and buy STi badges, wings, emblems and such but it doesn't make it an STi. The only difference between my car and your Pro is that there's better models available over the Pro Tacoma and 4Runner.

I don't understand the hostility. Everybody has an opinion. In my opinion I don't care if people put trd pro parts on theirs tacomas. It just makes me feel better that I got an original.

People in general care too much about their image and how they appear to other people. Its a truck, pro, SR, lifted, stock, it dosent define you.
