Save the money you'd waste on a bull bar and put it towards the Pelfrey. Trust me!!!

Yes...and the voice of "Forum Mods Of The Past..." cue the soothing organ music (insert joke back there)

    A likely scenario...

You submit to impulse and purchase said "Bull Bar"...which is actually an old school oxymoron.

    TW Style Points -500

You drop anywhere from $129 to $189 on said BB, which puts you another $900 to $1,000 away from an actual recovery point/winch mount/conversation piece.

    TW Style Points -1,000

Not to mention, the telepathic ridicule you will face with each passing TW Member, whose first thought will be, "Why, just why did he buy that shopping cart deterrent soup scoop?" It piles up, believe me.

    TW Style Points -750

Not to mention the time spent bolting that beast of thin wall stainless tubing to your frame horns...again, resources better spent on actually removing you valance for "real bumper time."

    TW Style Points -250

Style points and forum cred aside...

...let me put it to you another way...it's like dating that girl who is a "plus size" model...or owning a moped...

Fun to ride, just don't let your friends catch you "on it" in public.

Much akin to the mysterious "Bull Bar"...which screams "JC Whitney Bastard Child" who just couldn't resist the urge to click "submit" on Amazon.

I don't know that anyone could have said it any better. It should almost be a sticky for anyone considering a bull bar.

Well when you put it like THAT it doesn't sound like a good idea at all.lol Fine, I'll listen to reason and experience. I guess 22s are out of the question for new wheels also? Jk

I felt the same way when i read that. Made me totally reconsider putting my bullbars back on. Funny thing is, i used to have 22s on my truck. I know..cringeworthy.

Oops. My bad dude. I was just playing.lol The way I see it is that you build your truck for you. Not anyone else. If you like something, slap it on there! I guess what got me was the financial side of it. It does make more sense to just wait. I think the "bull bars" look good. :crapstorm:

You have a good point. Just have this thought of driving past some TW member, and being ridiculed behind the scenes. But we all have different taste, so maybe my feeling will subside, haha.

Haha Embrace it dude. I love being a part of this group, don't get me wrong, but the last time I checked I'm the only one making payments on my truck. Until someone wants to pitch in y'all can deal with whatever I do to it.lol We aren't robots. We all have different tastes so I don't get why there's so much ball busting going around.

Are you saying riding a moped in flip flops is comparable to spending money on a bull bar? :stirthepot:

Haha, not the most popular mod around here, but we don't all share the same taste. Take that young lady on the model for example. I bet some guy is proud to be bangin that :bananadance:

Maybe it's just me but I find it extremely entertaining reading about bull bars and fake hood scoops.
