When using rigid for fog lights... I wonder if spot lights would be too much.....

Ooof. I remember you telling me about that. I had just over 62K miles on my STi when I sold it, original motor and everything. It was stout, but I was always convinced that it was a mile away from going blooey, which is why I ultimately sold it. I mean, I probably had another 40-50K in it before I had to worry, but I always wondered when, not if. My best friend has a 2006 wagon he bought new, ran 20-22 PSI on the stock TDO4 for probably 80,000 miles now and it's still on the original clutch at something like 150,000 miles. It's a crapshoot with those cars I think. Some people get indestructible ones and some don't.

On a side note, do you or any of your friends have Corbeau A4s in any of their cars, or have one as a demo? I'm starting to plan for a seat replacement on the Vette. I don't want to blindly order seats without having sat in them. The Vette is super narrow, so it's really one of the very few options that bolts in without a whole ton of fabrication work.

Funny you mention this, I have a buddy who has a 2014 STI and spun a bearing at 7,000 miles. He is in the process of completely rebuilding it, but apparently this is much more common than I would have originally thought.

If he wanted - he could have found a dealership to replace it with a new short block. Subaru doesn't do rebuilds - its cheaper for them to order a short block and swap it out.

 

He messed with the timing and upgraded the turbo, so its partially his fault lol.

 

Swap it back to stock and they would have taken it. We did it all the time
