anyone know if you can order the factory shop manual for their tacoma?
In other brands I have owned they had a page in the owners manual where you fill out. mail in (with $$) and get one..

I believe you can through a Toyota run subscription service that allows you total access during your subscription period. A few have bought a minimum subscription plan and downloaded everything that related to their model year trucks.

Nice job! Did you have to install resistors to correct hyperflash? I know they are working on replacement flasher relays, but something in the DRL circuit tacos makes it more difficult. Yours is the same year as mine, so I'm looking to see what you did.
I would love LEDs in there, but I f'ing hate using resistors. To me it's a bassakwards solution to the problem of too much power in the circuit. Add in cheap Chinese resistors and you have LEDs that start to flicker after a few hours of service. Totally unacceptabe.

Ah the good old days when you could get a factory manual. Everything is online these days and purchasing the software is expensive as heck. Chiltons used to have good manuals, but lately I find them seriously lacking. Like a lite version of the real manual.
you might be able to use these online manuals http://www.customtacos.com/tech.old/files/05FSM/repair.html

Congrats! I have the same year and just paid mine off on November, great feeling. It was rough, I doubled my payments for the last year, but well worth it. Nice job!

Interesting... maybe the 2014 (or some slice of the 2014s) is a total outlier, which would explain why there aren't too many writeups on this mod. (Compared to all the related nav lockout/ camera/ etc mods, that is.)
