Yes, you'll reduce their life faster the more negative arch they see.

But so what? :p all spring are wear items be it leaf or coil. They never last and always will need replaced. Plus you won't see negative THAT much unless your offroading ALL the time. Mine on Frank go negative all the time and i haven't had issues. Worth the travel to me.

If you're running the rear wheelers kit, making a new stand for the bumps themselve will net you more travel too as they are i think..1.5-2''? tall. Can whack that down to 1/2'' if you want or so. Just as long as the bolt clears.

Alright cool I'm thinking it's worth it for me also.. I'll check out the wheelers bump stand and also the top strike bracket and come up with something :hattip:

This is well said. The whole 'negative arch' thing was misunderstood pretty heavily on here a few months ago. The flatter your unloaded 'new' leaf pack is, the less that 'negative arch' will fatigue your springs, obviously within reason. Also the flatter your leaves, the more comfy your ride will be and you won't need a kidney belt. This is why I love the Dakar leaf pack. Definitely the way I'll go when the time comes. Solid post. I appreciate your contributions, especially because it's not speculation. You've actually done or ran (or seen another truck do or run) most of these things.

Haven't looked on the taco yet, but on my other Yota 4x4s it is above the spare tire. Using the OEM tool kit was easiest way to lower it on those. I'll take a peek.

Got TC UCAs installed today. I'm excited to have my alignment closer to factory spec. I took some pics of my sweet toytec lift as well. DSC_0002.jpg DSC_0006.jpg DSC_0005.jpg DSC_0003.jpgDSC_0004.jpg

You push the hook end of the rod in-between the center of the top of the bumper and the bottom of the tailgate, it's a cylinder with a slot in it above the tire in the middle.

You need the OEM tool kit. Look in between the tail gate and the rear bumper straight back. You'll see it. Its basically right above the middle of the spare.

    I have the kit

    Worse design in the world

Took forever to find the hole
    Had to take plate off

Then use extension all the inside which lowers the spare

    Wow

Yeah, I wouldn't say worst design, but yeah once you see how it works it'll be a piece of cake from now on.

I don't know about the worst. It is a bit of a pain though. Mine more so because the plastic trim on top of my bumper is all tweaked and warped so I have to shove to get the rod through.
