Seven Sisters is a little too slow for my liking, but really enjoyed the Birds in Row track.

Digging on your bandcamp page, too! :spy:

Appreciate it. We only got digital and have 8 more songs to record. Then vinyl I think (can't afford it yet!)..but yeah. Always down to play new places for new faces. If we knock out an EP cd I'll get em in your hands!

Love your TW name too. Meant to mention that!

Oh yeah. We know em. They are my Motorhead fix! We play with most of the Colorado locals. Naitive Daughters is epic. Cult of a Lost Cause..bunch of good bands. I brew beer for a living but I do metal art on the side..bunch of weird shit. I do a lot of art for The Sword.

I dig it. I caught a brief glimps of Explosions In The Sky (Great Death) at the beginning of 'Crushing Winds'... brief. The vocals and riff quickly put the kibosh to that.

What are your staple bands? The ones you were first introduced to and laid the foundation for what you listen to today? I recall you saying you were ~30? in a recent post, I'm 25. Five years doesn't seem like much, but I can tell there's a distinct difference in band types between you, @killthehippies , and myself already.

I'm 36. I got into metal real young. My cousin got me into Kiss and Iron Maiden when I was probably 8 or 9. And then "And Justice for All" came out and I was 10..I listened to it endlessly. Then Master of Puppets, which Led down the path of punk rock bands like Minor Threat, The Misfits, And all the sorta gnarlier stuff..Eyehategod was a huge influence on me in high school..I'm literally all over the place. Sabbath, Slayer, Pantera, Ozzy, Morbid Angel,Sepultura, Alice In Chains (think of the era around 1995-96ish when I could finally drive)..but I always searched for obscure bands. I played in a band in college that was 1999-2002 and we opened for Shadows Fall, In Flames, and Killswitch stuff but that was the era then. I grew up in nowhere kansas so Merle Haggard, Waylon, Neil young all shaped my musical tastes. Nick Cave is awesome.
Nowadays I listen to alot of "weirder versions" of metal. Lots of Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats, Witchcraft, Beastmaker, Pelican, Russian Circles, Mastodon, Gojira, early Dillinger and Converge. I love Mastodon, and doom stuff. Pentagram, Sleep, Down...the Melvins!

But my mom had me listening to Zeppelin, Sabbath, Hendrix, ZZ Top, Thin Lizzy too. She liked to party when I was young and loved loud rock n roll.

Shit I haven't even scratched the surface. I love so many types of metal and bands..

i'm 26. when i was a kid, my dad gave me a bunch of tapes-- Slayer, Maiden, Priest, Testament, Metallica, Skid Row, Scorpions. i listened to a lot of that nonstop, some more than others. in middle school, i was all about metal and hardcore for a while; Darkest Hour, Converge, DEP, Curl Up and Die, Behemoth. towards the end of middle school i saw Children of Bodom and played guitar nonstop for about a year. then in high school, i started a hardcore band and played shows with Akimbo, Graf Orlock, Good Clean Fun, Gather and others. middle of high school i got into Pig Destroyer, Cephalic Carnage, Rotten Sound, Watchmaker, Tafkata, Dismember, and the Crown.

a few years after high school is when i started my band, Passengers of Rapture, and my metal listening has come full circle. now it's a mix of old, new, guilty pleasures, and things i've never heard of.

in summary, staple bands for me at this moment are Iron Maiden, Slayer (which are givens), Birds in Row, Sandrider, Priestess, Dark Circles/ Black Ships, and Amon Amarth.
