I've always liked those rims. It was either those or the F5's when I was shopping around.

Come on dude, seriously, I think you're kind of tossing him to the wolves when you're doing the exact same shit. You can't get mad every time somebody calls out you saying something that isn't cool. If YOU'RE okay with being called whatever, fine. But unless you know somebody, you shouldn't be coming up with names for them. That's a universal lesson from parents the world over.

well I'm sorry you disagree with my sense of humor, again that is known as taking a joke or staying silent. I actually haven't been mad and won't get mad at something on the internet directed at or towards me. You are acting like I called the guy that name to him, and I didn't.

Scotty just gets mad when I call him out and a few weeks ago he self proclaimed to be the guy that likes to call people out on shit.

Honest no BS time: I really think @stronghammer is a good guy and enjoyed the times I've met him. I don't actually believe he's a racist or anything like that. I was just calling him out one slightly offensive and ignorant remark he made about a perfect stranger he talked to for 5 minutes on the phone. I absolutely could have gone about it in a better way, possibly PM him instead of doing it publicly but sometimes it's fun to stir the pot.

This whole thing snow balled out of control because in this new era we've recently entered into having the right to be ignorant and hateful is the same thing as having freedom of speech. I'm genuinely sorry to everyone in the Alabama thread for getting this so worked up and @stronghammer if I offended him in anyway. Like most people with strong opinions it's often better to keep them to yourself and that's something @stronghammer could have done with his "joke" and something I could have done with my response.

    TW CODE OF CONDUCT

The atmosphere at Tacoma World is meant to be welcoming and friendly to anyone who visits.
Therefore, the staff of this site have laid out the following guidelines:

Use of offensive and inflammatory language, discussions or content targeting an ethnic, political or religious group, gender, sexual orientation, name calling, and humiliating or bashing members is prohibited in the forums of Tacoma World. Political discussion, talk or displays of reckless driving, street racing and excessive speeding are also not permitted on Tacoma World. Discussions, links, pictures and videos of illegal activities are not permitted on Tacoma World.

I would like to apologize to @yota243 for calling you a cheese cracker, as that is the only code of conduct rule I broke. You all made assumptions about my joke and seemingly took it the wrong way. Welcome to the internet, welcome to a forum, and welcome to jokes. Again, I did not break a rule other than calling EJ a name, so please...read your code of conduct and follow it.

Look, it's not a big deal. But that whole 'take a joke or stay silent thing' is something I'm very practiced at because I think being overly PC when something is legitimately an issue is stupid. For instance, the news describing a suspect on the run as "a tall, light man" as opposed to "a tall, Caucasian man" is the stupidest shit. I'm not your parent and I would never expect to act like it. But it's irrelevant if you called him that to his face or not, people see that as more a reflection of you than it does them. And I'm just reminding you, in a friendly way, those kinds of impressions can have sorely negative effects and it's not fair to that guy. The world is not fair. But that's an entirely different ball game. Say what you want, my man. But just as you can say it freely, without repose, someone should be able to tell you they don't think what you said is cool without being lashed out at. That's all I'm saying.

I still wanna hang out at these meets and have a jolly good time, because I can still have a good time around people who say things I don't agree with. No problem.

I apologize if you believe I lashed out at someone for calling me out on my joke. I only feel I "lashed" out when someone continued to make assumptions about my character and my meanings without actually knowing either. I welcome all jokes, and I welcome all repose. I do not welcome someone judging me off of their own assumption.
