How exactly did you paint it? I've been thinking about doing it to mine, too.

yeah man, i will. got the lower ball joint recall done today too.

man, im hurting so bad, im gonna go ahead and let the goodyear guys do my brakes and try fitting the wheels while they are at it. i would do it otherwise, but i tried picking up the tire and rim today, and it hurt like a sumbitch!! at least it'll be taken care of and it'll be done right.

i hate not being able to do much!!!

How the hell did you find that deal!

Today, I stood out in the pouring rain and washed the truck. I then pulled it into the garage to dry it. Last week, I changed the oil/filter (switched from FRAM to Mobile1 oil filter), ran Seafoam through the brake booster line, and greased the driveshaft. It really needed the oil change. The engine was much smoother afterwards.

Finally got aroung to dumping the factory fill of engine oil today. It had 2692 miles on it. It was pretty dirty but not black and still had a yellow-brownish hue as it was draining. The truck used no oil during breakin in. Dumped in 5 quarts of some FAR Valvoline SynPower 5w-30 that I acquired at O'Reillys, and topped it off with a quart of Valvoline ALL-Climate 5w/20 to thin it out a bit. The filter came off quite easy:) with the proper cap wrench which AAP had in stock. Even the drain plug was not too tight.:) Easily the best first oil change on a new vehicle I have had the pleasure of.:D
