    Yo, peeps, in theory, one would not have to weld the bars into place, right? One could just use tube/pipe clamps, like in the picture, right?
    All that would need to be welded would be the hoops....maybe not even that.
    For the un-welded price, you could have a rack with a bit of versatility. Honestly, I would even cut off some of the angle iron, to have the stock bed rail exposed, for tie-downs.

    Yes but just cut the part of the angle iron that covers the rails for the cleats. Do not cut the part that it on the top of the bed rail

    Honestly, not wanting to. Also, we tend to haul alot of tall things.....would just make it easier, imo. Just brainstorming right now.
    It would be plausible to not have to wrld anything other than the 3 hoops to pieces of the angle iron. Technically, one could also cut the angle into 3 pieces per side......have a fully collapsable rack, for the price of a welded kit
